Hi! I use to be a member a long time ago. I haven't been much into cars or racing in several years since I got rid of my 2003 SRT-4. Before that I had a 2002 VW Jetter 1.8T. Several cars later and I got the itch again. Now that the family has been started, I wanted a new toy to play with. I've always wanted a WRX since 2002 when I first got the SRT-4. Fast forward to last week... I finally got the AWD turbo car I've always wanted. I picked up a used 2009 5-door WRX and have been loving it! As far as I know it's stock. I wanted to join CR to gain some local insight on my car see what direction for modding it would be best. I'm looking to start with a tune and crank up the boost a little. I was heading home after volunteering at the fields of heroes event in Jackson, turning right onto a side street when this bitch behind me tries to pass me on the right, hits me and my bike. Popo cited her of course, bike is probably totaled out. I'm fine, full gear as always, my right knee and elbow are sore from where I went down. Fucking cagers.

I just picked up a Huntington 3-Burner today at Lowes for 300... It was a floor model so they took 70 bucks off and I didn't have to put it together .

That you are reasonably healthy is certainly most important, and glad to hear you aren't much worse for wear. You have now crossed over from the "has yet to go down" side to the "gone down" side. There are only two, and you survived your transition. Live and learn as we all do.

Good post. Tires are important and the start of a rain is worse than after it washes the crap off the road. Make sure to stay off the middle of the lane where the cars drip their fluids and stick to the tire tracks in bad conditions. Glad it was a cheap lesson as in more wounded pride than actual wounds.

Ah man glad you are OK, and kudos for the folks behind you helping. Yeah tires make a HUGE difference, and ABS really is your friend on wet and slick roads too.

Don't we have a few stunt guys on here? Maybe they could do a good deed & offer up an invite & some enlightenment. All this guy is looking for is someone to ride with. (& maybe some advice about proper gear)
