Being a career firefighter with over 28 years of experience, its still sometimes difficult to see people on the worst day of their lives. Its also becoming much more difficult to have to try to explain to people that the whole idea of rescue is to prevent situations where more people have to be rescued, thereby endangering the lives of the very people who are there to rescue the original people. I won't sit here and judge a man who wants to save the life of his child he knows is in a burning house. But I can't knowingly stand and watch him rush back into that burning house without trying to stop him. I won't be able to tell him that he needs to let the trained firefighters that have the proper equipment, manpower, skills, and protective clothing on stand a much better chance of not only finding his child but bringing him out of that house and maybe being able to save its life. I can't tell him that if he goes in, he won't come out. Fires aren't like the movies, you can't see, and most important, you can't breath. I can't tell him either that his child is most likely dead for all the above reasons. I may not be able to tell him these things, but I will show him that I will go into that house and risk MY life attempting to save HIS childs life. If that means the police on scene need to taser him for all of what I mentioned above, then so be it. Sue me for saving your life. Just my view from the fire truck.2 points

Seriously dude, take a breath. It's just a discussion, name calling and telling people to f-off just makes you sound like James Yeager, which by the way isn't a good thing. And explain to me how someone was "effectively concealing" if his piece was visible in plain site?2 points

Got my 03 bandit 1200 today and man is she a great bike. I can't get over the power delivery, smooth and constant and lots of it. Its taking a little getting used to the different seating arrangement but it was comfy enough to ride all day. It may get me in trouble, I can't help but giggle like a kid while stretching 2nd gear out. After riding the 1100 shadow, which was a good bike in her own right, the raw power of the i4 1200 is a welcome change. Still getting used to the handling, the tip in is very abrupt but that may have more to do with the shinko ravens than anything else. I've already managed to scrub off the previous owners super wide chicken strips tho. It came with givi hard bags and top box which look horrible but hold a ton of shit. All in all for $2700 I'm happy, already ordered a yoshi rs3 to replace the heavy, almost silent stock can.1 point

lol, I rode home once with a foot I couldn't stand on (140 miles). Or even put down on the ground. Balancing at stops was fun (not). Sprained, not broken. x-rays are relatively cheap, compared to surgery. I wouldn't hesitate to get an x-ray done anywhere anytime, if I thought I needed the diagnostics.1 point

Welcome to the TT. Guys pushing the limits in the Senior on street roads. It bothers me that they always threaten to stop it because of how dangerous it is, but to be honest, that's what makes the TT what it is. No one is forcing anyone to ride in it against their will and if they choose to do it, they take the risks. As far as the research I've done, most of the danger relies with the spectators. They put themselves so close to the action and then people are shocked if they get hurt. Don't blame the race, it's not the races fault for people getting hurt. It's human error. I do however hope everyone is ok. Sorry for the rant, just annoyed when they blame the race for being so dangerous and that's why people get hurt. It's like blaming a wild tiger for mauling someone who enters their cage while feeding.1 point

ah.......how bad you want out? My name is legendary and I'm sure a few of my calls on are training videos for new employees at call centers on how not to get manipulated. Start calling every other day to complain. make shit up. dropped calls, you hear voices, you're getting echo's, if you flush the toilet the bars drop to zero, no bars, you can't receive calls in your basement (my favorite as to date, no one mentions you can not get service in your basement in a call area) after a week, ask to talk to a supervisor as the low level minions can not help you. Do NOT bitch about the phone!! You love it after all. Just the service!!! make sure who you talk to is recording it (ask, make sure they are keeping track of your calls) rinse lather repeat and at some point after a week of this, ask if they are unable to fulfill your end of the agreement (you pay on time etc) you want out of your contract. They may offer a better phone to keep you on, or a new phone to resign a contract. dont waver, be polite. I think the longest it took me with Verizon was 3 weeks. Then I went with ATT...then verizon purchased me back, and now I have verizon again..wtf..but, I have ATT's contract grandfathered in- 750 minutes, unlimited after hours weekends for...wait... 36 bucks a month! Two years now, no contract with with verizon they are stuck at that price. But persistent, pestering complaints will get you out of most contracts- they start losing money dealing with you. g'luck1 point

When I first started riding I'd look for their eyes but as you said half the time they look right through you, so I see if their wheels start moving as I'm approaching. I've also seen people driving like a dick with those same stickers on their car, doesn't really mean much honestly.1 point

DAY:2 RACE # 1 Before our race we do the fan walk. This year we gave out glow sticks and signed shirts, hats and these AMA posters we had. Its always a blast talking with all the fans. Well It was preditcted to be a rain race so we mounted up rains on the B bikes wheels. Well then since the B bike had wheels we prob should use the B bike so naturally we had to build it lol. It was not really put together to be ridden yet,but more was like a rolling parts box that looked good lol. Well after a couple of hours it was now a ready to ride rain B bike. Well we must of made the gods of gription happy Because the sky cleared and it was perfect for racing!!! Crew was ready to go to the starting grid with the genny, tire warmers, stands, radios, water, face shield cleaner and run with all this 1/4 mile, jump a wall and wait for me at the grid. Its all so much moving the bike from pit to cold pit to hot pit and moving all this stuff back and forth. Its nutz... Anyway we hear the 2 Min horn sound and I hop on bike and go out for a parade lap. This lap is used for waving at fans and going med pace. Now we pull up to our grid and throw bike on stands and put warmers on take a drink and Sit under the umbrella for what feels like 15 min,but prob more like 5 lol. Whistle sounds, stands go down and light goes on... Let me tell u how insane it feels as that light goes off. Its LOUD its INTENSE Its something you can feel throughout your body as all these motors go WTF. I stayed far left and just went with the pack. It seemed like I was staying strong and I had some riders I could chase. Felt good and was only passed like 3 times and even made a pass or 3 myself. Before I even knew it was close to over I saw the white flag. Took a look back and saw no one so I just practiced new lines to try to stop the running wide, but nothing worked....Finished 31 out of like 41 starters. RACE:2 The weather had changed to winter again it seemed like and it was COLD! Race practice was at 8am and i did one lap and said hell with that cold and wet track. Well the Race was at 10am so I was scared as hell to race in the cold on a damp track. I was very much considering bailing out and just watching. Tuna and Joe would not take no and just started getting it all ready and setting up hot pit. Well since I had no choice i geared up in the cold and paced allot lol. Bob held my hose Tuna loves coffee Joe keeping me warm lol Line up and grid again and it all goes smooth. Light goes out and I'm off. KILLER START and went way up the field. Fell in and was closer to the front than ever. Went around a rider that had a bobble and gaped the pack a little who got held up by that bobble. Go into 11 and I watch 2 more riders crash hard and the group in front was way closer now. As I head down the back strait they gap me again, but these brakes I have rock... Anyway as we continue I see a red flag and rush back to hot pit angry cause I was doing it and had a good chance. We re-grid after the 10 min passes and then the light went out again. It was pure insanity that followed. I had a horrible start and lost my left hand side of the track position to another rider. I was forced to the Center of the track and I was hating it,but just as I begin to look for a hole I see a bike appear above all the riders ahead. I kinda hesitate rolling any harder and just then i see a horrible wreck in the makings. People were FLYING past me directly into the wreck and it was un-real. I stayed on the throttle for the fear I was about to be ass packed super hard like I saw in front of me. Luckily They all were on my left and got past me clean. HORRIBLE and so so so happy that all involved are still here. The is the worst thing I have ever seen. The third re-start was peaceful and I just did not have it in me to rush in there just yet. So I stayed way left and just fell in line. It all felt good, but I could not seem to go any faster on my setup. I had been working on the forks and shock all weekend to no avail and I just wanted to keep it shiny for the next round.1 point

When it is the law "for now" and our right to do something no matter what public perception may be.......to hell with the public!!!!!!! It isn't like they vote or anything, they will eventually understand and accept the ways of us gun toting trouble makers. Out of sight out of mind doesn't work very well and doesnt bring any attention, we must sometimes make an open statement and poke the hive with a pistol. Police are obviously always out to cause tension with law abiding citizens, so do not work with them, do not answer their questions, and pay them no mind. Be sure you have your smart phone or camera recording if ever approached by police, they love it when we do that and encourage us to do so. Be sure to post that video on youtube, we need to spread more negativity and bad press for law enforcement and the armed Americans walking the streets. To hell with public perception toward gun owners, not like we are under fire or being scrutinized for our actions. What is that saying? Ah yes........"an armed society is a polite society", we are always very polite......ALWAYS!!!!!!!1 point

This is a debate that wont end until laws are perfect (never gonna happen), and even then people wont like it. My point to this is riding down the highway with your sidearm "ACCIDENTALLY" hanging out is no need to call for alarm. Even if it was on purpose, no crime. Guy takes it out and starts waiving it around and pointing it at people, crime..... I feel that open carry draws way to much unwanted attention, but I support it at the same time. This is a very conflicting feeling.1 point
