Putnam is a spa day compared to Nelson, and Nelson still isn't as bad as people make it sound. The fact is that (even at a "crappy" track), the conditions are 100 times better than the best street ride you've ever done. Nelson is cheap too, which is huge for a new track rider. I wouldn't say that Mid Ohio is a "bad" first track, but it's kind of like banging a porn star as your first time. A newb doesn't get the full effect of a world-class venue. Frankly, you won't be going fast enough for the surface at Nelson to be an issue... And money saved can be put toward more track time.

First lap around the track without a tow was borderline frightening because of all the crests and blind turn in points. Still; I enjoyed each lap of the track just a little more than the previous, ending with my fastest lap of the day as it started to drizzle. All satellite data is completely contradictory to the global warming claims being espoused but you won't find it being reported on CNN, MSNBC or the like.. If you're old enough to remember, in the 1970s, they were screaming of the imminent ice age. If people really did their research onwho is leading the drive in the environmental movement, they would probably have a heart attack. A good Google search on why, even such an extremist as the original leader of Greenpeace got out, is rather enlightening. Its not about environment, its about politics and control.

Why players go and put themselves in potential bad situations "especially football players" makes no sense to me. It is obvious that they will never learn, they become so spoiled and tend to get whatever they want, and when they don't things like this happens. Clarett was on Jim Rome recently, was a really great interview that he gave. Says the players at major programs are like Gods, and it really messes you up in the head for those that cannot handle it. Another black eye for the Buckeyes, coach needs to keep the players on lockdown the entire time they are at school.

So, I hop out of bed and have no real plans for the day. I hop on my bike at 10:30am and head to my dads house where I get a chance to ride his new can am before we head to ask motors in Columbus. We grab some lunch and I head back to town solo to pick up a friend to ride 2up with and meet another friend and hit the twistes around franklin/germantown. We tore up the streets and corners for a few hours before heading back to his place. Well, after our awesome ride on the way home some dumb bitch in a minivan kept break checking me and my buddy for no reason, we weren't even following close and we didn't have our brights on. The next thing we know the passenger opens up the door and starts screaming at us to stay back, he even threw some trash out of the window at us. So me and my buddy end up just crossing the double yellow to get in front of them. Then the dumb bitch starts flashing her brights at us, seriously wtf is her problem? We just said fuck it and hurried up across the double yellow past every car to get far away from this crazy bitch. We end up getting back to my buddies place and it's 11pm now, but me and my 2up decided we wanted to keep riding, so we end up riding for another couple hours before heading home. What a fun day, besides that one dumb bitch. In a 15 hour period, including 4 gas stops I probably road for a good 12hours and put down a few hundred miles on my bike. I wish I could do this more often, I so love free days oh I gotta ride my friends buddies 1125r too =D
