  1. The time finally came where I listened to others and did the right thing. I listened to you guys about not chopping up the Nighthawk and it paid off. I sold it after two days listed of Craigslist. I then spent time talking to Brian and Derek about my needs in a bike and we landed on the Yamaha FZ6 or Kawasaki Z750s. The Z750s was hard to come by and the one we did look at was in rough shape and to much money. After seeing the Kawasaki we took a long road trip to northern parts in Michigan to only be let down by people who stated their bikes were in mint condition. Hopes were down after that 14 hour day though we did not stop looking and we then found the diamond. Brian and Derek were extremely helpful and left work early to commute to Louisville Wednesday afternoon. I had high resolution pictures prior to the drive and an email chain from the original owner discussing the bike. I was holding back my eagerness to get down there as I did not want to be let down again. Well, I was not. The bike was as stated and was in mint condition. I was starring at my new 04 Yamaha FZ6 with 7,800 miles. It is so beautiful and so nice that I almost did not believe I was going to purchase it. The bike came with a new Puig windscreen, a clean fender delete already done and just a well maintained bike. It does need new tires but that is pretty much all it needs. I then got geared up for my long journey home (6 hours). It was cold and then wet when it started raining about 30 minutes away from home. I could not stop smiling as this bike is amazing. Smooth and powerful yet comfortable. Thank you again to all who helped in the process. I have more pictures but am lazy at the moment.

  2. No scrambling here. I have the factory hard bags and a tail bag already. Just looking for convenience. You just worry about not spilling your 64oz Big Gulp hanging off your bars while you ride that road couch. :)

  3. My general freeway safety rule is if I can control the time and speed of the pass, it's safest for me. If I let people overtake me from behind with regularity, I am relying on everyone who does so to do so safely... too many cooks spoil the pot, in my opinion. Best to maintain control of your own soup.

  6. I am taking the day off tomorrow (Friday). I will be on the road for a bit and will have very limited internet access until Sunday. If you need immediate assistance you can contact the sales department by calling 866-931-6644 then press 1. Otherwise if it can wait you can leave me a voicemail or a PM. Hope everyone has a great weekend! -Mike

  7. Don't buy the book Brandon, I already have the PDF version. I will crank it out on the work copier/printer and throw it in a binder. You will have to tab it out if that is your thing.

  20. Credit cards annoyed me back in the 80s, so I dropped them entirely. Funny was being told I wouldn't have any credit. Opposed to that was hundreds of offers for credit that suddenly showed up in the mail. Don't need them. Maintaining a cash balance will take it where I want it to go.

  25. I do have one question on this topic; Wife had to finance about 90% of her schooling, 7 years for her doctorate. With that said, we've paid a lot down, but still have some left, enough that I would like to look into consolidation. Anyone have recommendations? Thanks

  27. Hypoglycemia is a sign of prediabetes. I was hypoglycemic for a long time, regularly in the 60-70 range during routine physicals and such. I didn't know that was a bad thing until I was diagnosed with diabetes. FYI.

  28. It doesn't excite me much. I pretty much echo IP. I use the brake lever when coming to a stop so vehicles behind me know I'm stopping. That's the purpose of the lever. Just because I can stop without the use of brakes doesn't mean I should. It's ignorant to do so with traffic around.
