Well, to be fair, when our Triumphs actually run they are kinda quick. We should do a "It's Snowy and Shitty Out so Let's Go-Kart" dinner night though.3 points

LocalRiders crew annual tradition of the Winter Solstice Ride to Serpent Mound to lobby Old Man Winter to take it easy on us. Roads were pretty wet and greasy and I got dumped on during the return trip with the torrential rains in late afternoon. I got in about 180 miles in the rain, but it was a great ride with good friends. Toasted a loved and admired LR member who passed away from cancer almost exactly one year ago. Kudos to Dave Bannister for bringing the Bailey's and coffee! Thanks to George DuChaine for the pics!1 point

Good thing about the Gap roads is you'll find your tolerance goes up and you ride longer each day.....like adrenaline is in the air down there1 point

I'll still be more of a street guy. I enjoy my long days in the saddle and my oldest daughter is taking a real liking to riding with me. So much so that for her birthday I surprised her with a promise to take her to Deals Gap this summer and a riding jacket. She called it the best gift ever.1 point

I would purchase one of these $17 borescopes you can use with you phone or laptop so you can actually see in the cylinder. They work amazingly well for the price paid and this will let you see if you should continue further on the suspect engine. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H00AJB2?psc=1 Marvel Mystery Oil also seems to be a favorite to free up stuck motors. You're lucky the bike has a center stand, place the bike in gear and rock the rear wheel back and forth to try and free the engine. YouTube video of a guy using this exact method on a old CB350 with success.1 point

Who's going to be acting DP for this shindig? Derek? Doc? I'm guessing most of the group will be in Novice because of the 2 trackday rule so we may need a couple photographers split between the groups. P.S. Director of Photography. Not the other DP.1 point

Nope ADVANCED and INTERMEDIATE GROUP riders MUST wear a back protector designed for motorcycle competition in lieu of, or in addition to, the standard back padding in their suit.1 point

I'll do some cardio tonight and some leg work, then hit the upper again tomorrow. Sounds like a plan.1 point

OK did a pretty heavy upper body work out on Wednesday evening. Woke up Thursday morning and felt NOTHING and didn't feel anything all day long. Kind of wondered if I did something wrong or not enough. Woke up this morning(Friday) and everything was a little stiff but not bad. It is now almost 2pm and my bi''s, tri's and chest are burning like a mother f'er. Is this normal? I haven't real done anything strenuous all day. Why did it take 36 hours before I felt the effects? And my plan was to hit it every other day but being sore today should I wait at least a extra day for muscles to recover. Just thought it was strange how it all played out.1 point

No doubt do what works for ya. I was just saying I can't eat that.1 point

When I eat peanut butter I consider it a cheat, it's usually my go to when I have sweet craving. Too many carbs to eat it daily for me.1 point

Ok researching on doing a little more lifting, not much just some entry level stuff. My question is, I know they say you need a rest day inbetween lifting days. Can I do cardio on those rest days of does my body need a complete rest?1 point

Really bad food day yesterday, I had to work on a Sunday and work always supplies breakfast and lunch for us on Sundays to smooth over the fact that we are there. So it was donuts and pizza and I partook of both ..excessively. And to add insult to injury with all that crap in my gut last night I felt too bloated and tired to do any kind of workout. . Oh well, today is reset and back on track day.1 point

All I know is what I'm doing is working and I'm not loosing any strength. You also have to figure I'm very active at my job. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, restacking heavy loads, climbing around and wrenching on heavy machines. So it not like I'm getting zero compared to your average person. Once I hit my goal weight I'll increase my caloric intake in mostly protein to compensate for the added strength training ill begin at that time. And I have been doing a HIIT(type)work out on my tread mill for the last 2 week. My heart rate is up and down so much on this program it's insane.1 point

I'm still not doing any strength training, I am 100% committed to weight loss right now. I do throw some weights around just to keep what I have and burn some extra fat with medium weight and many reps. Once I hit my goal weight I'll look into beefing up a bit.1 point

I could do that, my driveway is 320 ft long and another 70ft of side walk. Or I can just use the snow blower then come inside where it is warm and use the treadmill or elliptical for the time I would have taken me to clear the drive by hand. I hate winter that much1 point
