Sorry you missed out but I would do the same except I tell people ahead of time I won't hold it. Because I've done that before and had the people that said they would buy it, then back out and lost other potential buyers. SO if someone says "I can come this weekend" or "in a couple days" ill say "that's fine but it's still for sale in the mean time". Just part of the CL game.

Another thought...counter steering doesn't 'always' mean the bars actually going past zero degrees the other direction. If you are already committed to a turn and need to tighten your line you would counter steer, but the bars wouldn't ever get near zero degrees. Just a degree or 2 the opposite direction of your turn.

Son of a bitch......... Just did a quick route down to athens and sent directions to my phone and that worked on the test run I just did. Thanks Dave! Now I have to buy another street bike so I can run some routes without relying on someone else's knowledge of the area.

However, lately I've been considering buying a sportster (probably an xl1200r) and putting some top notch suspension bits on it, just to see quickly I could get it to hustle through the corners. Guys at work (union shop) ask me why I don't buy a Harley. Pretty simple, I tell them, they don't make a bike I want. The bikes they do make aren't any better than their Japanese counterparts and they're more expensive. So why would I buy less bike for more money? Why should I take a shot on the chin and buy a bike I don't want because the only American motorcycle companies won't even attempt to compete in terms of performance? If I were a cruiser guy, which I may become again, I'd look at the Indian scout. Great motor in those bikes.
