Just got off the phone with John. We talked for about 15 minutes. He talks fairly normally, you can tell he struggles a bit in remembering certain things. He is rehabbing and learning to walk again. He said yesterday he walked 2 times and was exhausted and that was the worst part. Definitely a miracle. So happy to hear his voice and talk. He doesn't remember anything from this entire ordeal which is probably for the best but he does remember before and after, so memory doesn't seem to affected all that much. He struggles very occasionally in his speech but I'm sure that will fade as time goes on. John, you truly are a fighter. We all knew you could do it. I also asked when he expected to be back on a motorcycle and he is shooting for a month hahahaha. Now that's a true biker for life.

Because of this thread, I'm going to demo a 765cc Triple RS.

I have to give a big thanks to Sam and all his helpers on and off track and for a great meal afterwards too. The owner was there and helping where he could. Nelson is back!

Track is awesome!!! Nice and smooth. You actually have to get used to cone markers and small pavement seems now instead of patches and bumps. It's really fast too. Totally worth it now. Even in the heavy down-pouring rain today the track was really good. Bike hugged the track like it should. Good turn out today and lots of happy faces.

I am just coming to take pics of you guys I have to be back home early so will split of midway, the line up looks fun and huge, will prolly need 3 different groups it looks like. I've got nothing against Ohio Riders but I would never put a sticker on my bike that would allow leos to link riders of a particular ride together. Situations arise on rides. Just sayin.

Repeating what Tonik said - Confirmation from the family last night. He is awake and talking. Also--- They are still not allowing visitors unfortunately.

"Bicyclists don't pay road tax" is a bullshit argument. MOST bicyclists also own a vehicle that they already paid road tax on. Yes, I said most, there are exceptions, but not very common. Maybe we should have a "Walker's tax" for people that walk on the sidewalk. Put a tax receipt (License plate) on your ass. Damn I should be a politician.
