I've been riding my FZ6 for almost 5 years now and I still love it. But I was thinking that I could get the wife to ride with more often with a bike that has better ergos for the passenger, so I was thinking of an FJR. I mentioned this to @JustinNck1 who promptly told me that he had seen a great deal on a 2016 in the FJR forums. I titled this as a unicorn because used 2016's are so rare and one for $8000 with a measley 31000 miles is beyond rare. I was worried that this larger bike wouldn't be as much fun in the twisties. But it's great. My neighbor and I ran 26 & 800 today and it was great. The bike is much heavier to maneuver in a parking lot but it handles wonderfully.

Buell existed for 25 years. HD dealers marketed the 130hp, 400lb Buell 1125R as a beginner bike, so some day you could step up to the 65hp, 800lb geezer glide.

This would be my ultimate goal but I’m in the same position as Tom. Wife says no more plated machines until I sell one. Ninjadoc sold his and not to me.

@Skinny guy more than likely my pace from Lisbon to New Concord will be more like med-fast. It will be early and I had a sheriff stop me about a month ago on 164. Thankfully he let me go with a warning. From New Concord on things may be different. I know last year when @jacobhawkins and I rode we had a group that had a variety of speed and it all worked out. I don’t plan to leave anybody behind. Feel free to join in if you like and ride your ride. @B-Mac sounds good.

Note sure I can put a measure on the heaters efficiency......I have a 200gal propane tank for the shop, and it gets filled 3 or 4 times during the winter. Not cheap. But, I work out of the shop so the thermostat is set to 65deg 50hrs/week or more. I'm in Delaware north of columbus. Shoot me a PM sometime we'll see if we can make a riding day out of it.

I'm keeping my FZ6, for now, but I'm really enjoying the FJR. Do what I did. To clear up garage space and overcome wifely objections, I agreed to complete the refinishing of an old dresser so it can move to the family room. No knives involved.😌 Chris Dave - Good luck with the medical issue!

Great day of riding today even though it was ALL slab. Beautiful weather perfect temps and very little traffic. Stopped at Antique Archeology and meet us with @JustinNck1 parents at the Iowa 80 (worlds largest truck stop). Ate at Smokey D's BBQ Des Moines , it was pretty good. You get a lot of food for the money there. Braved speeding semis and deadly gravel to get the state signs in today... Here are the pics.......
