  1. Today's little project: Step 1: gut one of your garage door opener remotes, remove the business end. B: solder wires to either side of momentary switch on board. If you cant do this, just hit it with your purse a few times then ask your boyfriend to try. III: drill a hole in your fairing in a spot that's easy to reach with your left hand. Mount waterproof momentary switch. Wrap remote guts in several layers of electrical tape, solder to switch and secure to underside of fairing. voila! Now drink a beer, you've earned it.

  3. Dan: I did the same last year--picked up a used Klim 2-pc suit from ADVR and sold my AS onsie, also purchased used from ADVR. I did 5800 miles last spring from Cinti to CA border, meeting up with some friends in Dallas and NM along the way, then back east across southern UT and CO. Rode thru temps of 108* across west TX and temps of 28* and sleet near Bryce, a couple of frog stranglers in CO and and snow near Cedar Breaks, UT. Never got wet, was able to keep "relatively" cool in the heat (Hey, 108* is just plain f'n HOT!!!) with the vents open and stayed pretty warm thru the 28* sleet in Bryce NP. I did carry a thin thermal underlayer with me from UA to put on when temps were below 40. If your gear is of the same quality as mine, it'll serve you well in a wide range of temps and precipitation conditions. You should be good to go! Have a great trip and post lots of pics for us homebodies.

  4. I will check when I get home tonight but don't know that I have one that size. I put the link up just to make sure I was thinking the same thing as you were.

  5. If I get the bar threaded, I can use my current ends and save myself $70. If I cannot find a tap, then I can just buy the Rhinomoto bar ends they make for the Renthal bar. So, your advice is kind of not helpful, yet appreciated because the Rhinomoto bar ends are the only acceptable aftermarket units I have seen thus far. I want a steel bar end, powdercoated black, that doesn't look like something out of sci-fi movie. Thanks for the tip on those. I can buy a set for $72, shipped. Not ideal, but way better than anything else I have come across.

  6. So, is a skid-lid mandatory when piloting a two-wheeled bus, or can I still wear my race replica?

  7. It has come to my attention that @Tonik has two usernames. That is a violation of the forum TOS. @TonikBlowsGoats is also offensive as fuck. He is looking down the barrel of a long-term banathon. Don't fuck with me when I have a cold.
