In my opinion a BMW would probibly make the best all around police bike. I see a police bike being used as patrol and not so much being used in a high speed chase or anything like that. WTF is any motorcycle going to do in a 100 MPH chase? Lets face it, there are only a handfull of bikes you can ride day in and day out and still be comfortable.

I am just saying, a radar detector does not really give you that confidence you think it would. It actually is kind of a pita because now you "can't" get any tickets and you think, well if the detector saves my ass twice it pays for itself, but on the other hand, what of I do get a ticket and now I have a ticket, points and a $400.00 radar detector. Really you have to think about how many times you have been pulled over, and then how many times did you get a warning. I have had one warning, but I get pulled over about once ever 5 years and I tend to drive about 10 or 12 miles over the speed limit. For me, it's not worth it

To be honest I would not waste my $$ on a radar/laser detector. I think they might do a little good if you have a focus or an explorer, but a GTO is going to get you too much attention for it to make a diffrence, and on top of that if a cop see's a GTO with a Radar Detector you can bet your ass he is going to watch your every move. I had Passport on my Busa and felt like a target. I would think a GTO would have the same effect.

They are not for me, but I don't go around worrying about other people and the bikes they ride. I am not comfortable with someone that is riding down the freeway checking out a man's forearms, then calling THEM gay, but that is just me. BUT they would not be gay if they were riding an Indian, sounds like you have the inside track on everyone's sexual preference besides your own.

I rember driving into work and thinking what a beautiful day it was, not a cloud in the sky. I was listening to Stern at work when the first plane hit, like casper said they thought it was an accident. I work for Nationwide downtown and remember looking out the window as hundreds of cops surrounded the federal building, it was creepy. We were watching the TV as the second plane hit, I just wanted to get the fuck out of there and be with my family, it was such a weird feeling.

I have a Kimber Ultra II .45, love it, but it's really heavy for CC. I carry my Glock .45, but the Kimber is a beautiful gun
