  1. I started a new thread in the Dayton section for people to say if they are going to dyno day. we should all meet up and ride over in style. Go to that thread and speak up if going. I will try to edit the list as people speak up
  2. Those of you going to Dyno day on April 4th, let us know who is going if you want to meet up and ride over together. The people north of Dayton will meet somewhere around Tipp City or Vandalia. The southern dayton peeps will meet at the usual spot off 35. Then both groups will meet in Ceaderville on Rt 42. Then from there we will take 42 straight to DTM which is on 42. I will try to edit the roster as people say that are going. People going: xtremef4i wrillo NitroNick fusion Cattmouch33 knodel e-flores f4isvt???? CBRzach Dustinsn3485 jarvismb 1dtfgsxr balagormia speed Catman drey4211 R6warpspeed Hondajt Starcade speedwolf02
  3. Yep that Speedway is still there. I'll start a thread in the Dayton section to get a roster going and meeting place.
  4. I think meeting at the Benchwood/Miller lane area right off 75 would be good so that the peeps from North of 70 and south of 70 can meet in the middle
  5. I would perfer S/C because I plan to install it myself and think a turbo set up would involve more than I know how or am comfortable with doing. I dont know anything about turbos and feel more knowledagabe with S/c. Plus I love the whine sound you get with a s/c. I am guessing you think I should go Turbo route? Everyone tells me to go turbo over s/c but I dont know a lot about turbos. I know they are more efficient and dont take power from the engine to make power like a s/c. Keep in mine that I will only be supporting about 7 lbs of boost max from my fuel system and have no desire to go further than that. Could I turbo it for the same cost of going S/c route? Sorry if I am bugging you with all the questions, but you really have sparked an interest here for me.
  6. Cool, Thanks for the input. Hopefully there will be time to talk to you about it at the dyno day or I'll just call you some time down the road when I am ready. Are your rates the same for Autos as they are for bikes? I really appreciate your feedback. Its nice to know there is someone out there willing to work on my truck. Since I mentioned getting a S/C in the future, you dont know where I can get a good deal on one do you? I want to keep it under $4500 with air to air intercooler. I cant find any good kits for my truck anymore, since they are all phased out. I have heard bad things about Powerdyne, Vortech stopped making kits for the 4.3. Do you work with S/C's much and if so what would you recommend?
  7. So I think this thread needs some sort of official tally as to who for sure plans on comming out to this so everyone knows who and how many to expect. I know at least 5-7 peeps including myself, from Dayton are comming over.
  8. My S-10 is 2003 5 spd. From what I have heard, it should use the same tuning software as LS1s. What program are you using for LS1 tuning? I dont have anything major done to my truck, engine wise. I have shorty headers, flowmaster muffler, MSD Coil and wires. Ported throttle body, removed clutch fan and installed electric LS1 fans, hypertech tune, underdrive pullies, cold air intake, Granatelli MAF, and I think thats about it. Just simple bolt on stuff. I have larger wheels and am wanting to change rear end gears soon so the tune will have to readjust for the wheels and gear set up as well. I dont care about fuel mileage but if you can give better mileage and still add more performance, thats great. Eventually, Id like to get a cam and S/C but thats in the far future. Will your tune be better than a Hypertech tune? or will it not be worth it on a 4.3L V-6 since its not as performance oriented as a V-8?
  9. Brian, its nice to see you posting more. You seem like a good guy to work with and I am willing do drive from Dayton to have my stuff tuned by you. I'd like to get my bike to you for a custom tune by the end of this month after I check valve clearance, throttle body sync and put new plugs in. I might even see if you can work any magic on my 4.3 S-10. Its got a hypertech on it now but maybe you can do better than that tune. I also have a co-worker who might be interested in some work on his supercharged 5.0 Mustang. This is just another example of how great customer service and being friendly can get you more business. Good luck in your future business ventures and I hope you are able to be successful in your expansion.
  10. ^ +1 Welcome. Glad to have another Dayton member. We try to all meet up every Sunday and some of us go on Thursday night rides and grab food along the way. Cant wait to see your bike in person. Hope to see you at the Dyno Day.
  11. But on the other hand, if you could get with a bike night, they might let you set up for free because a mobile dyno could attract even more people to come to that specific bike night over others in the area. This equals more revenue for the place holding the bike night from sales of beer and food. It would be a good idea to throw that pitch to whom ever is hosting the bike night so that they let you set up for free. Hell, if they let you set up for free, you could work out some sort of arrangement with the facility that they get a certain % of what you make. That way, you make money, the place holding the bike night makes money, and everyone wins.
  12. Mounting tires would be real easy money maker. A lot of places charge way to much to mount a tire. Anywhere from $25-50 each. Just a thought. again, it's an easy way to make money with small investment. Look into the No-Mar tire changers. They are a manual way to change a tire but look easy to do.
  13. This is a great idea to improve your business. You could just show up at a bike night and charge $25 for a pull or two and pay that off in no time
  14. There might be some flamers to this idea, but its easy money. Get hooked up with a local guy that does powdercoating and chrome/polishing. If you team up with a small shop local that has all the rquipment, you can work together with him on powder and plating. You would be a middle man and get money with pretty much nothing invested. Since you would be known as the bike shop, you offer the service, have your local guy do the work, and you profit from it. The guy you team up with should give you dealer pricing since you would be bringing him more business. So he powders and plates parts for you cheaper than he would for the average joe, and you mark up the price to whatever a competitive rate is in the area. So in the end, all you do is move the parts from your shop to his, and collect on the profit. Same goes for Paint work too.
  15. Thanks for the tip Chris. I never thought of that before and it sure beats having the bike down for 2 weeks while the rotors are out at some shop, not to mention the savings.
  16. Quoted for Truth I am done riding with you
