yeah, I'm hoping for good weather this year too. Started my trip (twice) in the rain last year. Could use a nice cool dry morning. I'm excited about cumberland. I've never been there, but my aunt and uncle go there every year and always talk about how nice it is.
yeah, people are more than welcome to ride down with me, but I am stopping at Cumberland falls to do a couple mile hike (stretch my legs for an hour or two at the most). Its more than half way down, so if you want to break off and keep going, that's cool, or you can hike too.
I'm signing up for a mini triathlon on sunday. I am legitimately scared about the swimming portion, although it should be short enough (and along a shoreline), so I won't get myself in too much trouble
I need a window frame, preferably not wood. It doesn't need to have the glass in it, but it's ok if it does. It doesn't matter what size it is either, but the smaller the better. Let me know if you have one laying around!!
I already started checking my bike over, instead of doing what I did last year. I installed new brakes and changed the fluids the day before I left :-P I want to pick up one more bag to sit on my passenger seat before I leave, and if I have time, I want to make my seat a little more comfy.
I stopped at a gas station and picked up a bunch of water to hand out to people when they were getting tired at the end. Really came in handy. One girl said she needed some bread or something... she said she was allergic to all the food at the food stop or something like that.
I'm not a medical doctor. MT taught me cpr, but that's the extent of my helpfulness at the gap.... unless you need me to design a semiconductor. I'll bring my earplugs and my shooting muffs... and my video camera.
