  2. I am cutting out the hike that I was planning on doing on Wednesday... So if anybody is riding to Beckley from the Lancaster area and wants somebody to ride with let me know! I plan on leaving around 11:30 a.m.

  3. I wanted to check out the canyon rim trails at New River Gorge.  That is a 3.2 mile hike, so with stops maybe just over an hour.  It looks like there's some good hiking near Marion as well.

    Maybe tentative plan can be to head out a little early on wednesday, do the the canyon rim trail.  Meet you guys in Beckley, ride to Marion, hike the next morning near marion or somewhere along the way (a longer 8-10 mile hike), then catch up at deals gap.

  4. I'm buying 2 pairs if pants, Alpinestars got sure, still deciding between the other two. 

     

    Was hoping to get some seat options so mu butt isn't as numb when I arrive to the gap. What do you think?

  5. Ok...I will need someplace to sleep. 

    I don't know if I have the luxury of being picky at this point, but I'm a really light sleeper, so if I have more than one option it will depend on my sleep surface, the amount of snoring that is expected, the anticipated cabin temperature, and how early others in the cabin are planning on getting up... oh and if I know you/trust you not to draw a penis on my face should I happen to fall into an alcohol induced deep sleep.

I gained some weight after I sprained my ankle and couldn't run for a few months, then 5 lbs when I lost my school gym membership and then another lb per month at my new job for just shy of a year... There's so much free food there and its always tacos and lasagna.  Anyway, back to where I want to be and ready to start training.

I'm doing a weight loss thing with work.  The final weigh in is on 4/29.  I'm down a solid 16 lbs.(+or- 1 lb depending on what i ate the day before).  I cut calories (mostly cheese :( ), take a 1.4 mile walk at work when I have 20 minutes to myself, and occasionally get motivated for a jog or pilates.  After the final weigh in, I'm going to start training for a half triathlon in June (who wants to join??!).

    Overall, I would love to eat more cheese and chocolate again, but I'm excited that walking up the hill at work doesn't make me breath heavy any more.
