  2. Bump She liked him, but I think she was bigger than what he was looking for. I am optimistic now though, because she actually liked him...
  3. This was probably made by a guy.... just another example of how men think they are soooo in control. It makes me lol.
  4. Well, fingers crossed, there is someone (a dude friend of mine) that might take her if she likes him. I'm not overly optimistic that she will bond with him, but I'm hopeful! I'll probably know by tomorrow
  5. When I have a job someday, I will totally be purchasing a ruckus. Sadly, that day is not today.

    LADIES 1st

Its not like the ladies don't know. Most of the time there are reflections around the doors and you can totally see who is checking you out.
  7. She really is a good dog. Its just awful how much her personality changes when there is a guy around that she doesn't like. She just seems really smart and happy with her little nub (whats left of her tail) wagging, then suddenly she's shaking in the corner.
  8. We have had her around a few other dogs, but not for any extended time, pretty much just a day at a time, so probably not long enough for her to learn anything from it. idk how she is with kids. We had a couple kids around her at a cookout once and she just seemed to ignore them. She's great with other dogs. I think if you have to yell at your other dog, this would probably send Cora into a nervous fit. She gets scared when I swat flies with the fly swatter. If I get some time this week, I'll make sure to not spend it putting together cute pics of her with her sad tale.
  9. Wow, disturbing thought... luckily I haven't had the displeasure of seeing that yet. You know, its probably not "normal" for you to be having theses fantasies about Howard.
  10. thanks. She's a great dog when she's not frozen in fear :-/ for what that's worth. She's very smart and learns quickly. She is trained to walk on the left and does very well on a leash. Also, she does excellent with other dogs and she ignores cats and other animals completely (no squirrel chasing!).
  11. OK, let me say right away that this dog will do best with a lesbian couple or a man without a super deep voice or very large stature.... *sigh*. UPDATE (12/4/12): She's been doing pretty well around a few different larger men. She spent the first 18 months of her life in a pound and was probably never properly socialized. She is OK with women and is just completely and totally scared of men in general. When it is just me, she plays, eats, and tries to be the biggest lap dog ever. When Howard is even in the next room, she fixates and stares. I left on a trip for just under 2 weeks and she barely ate the whole time and lost probably 10 lbs. We got her from a friend whose parents got her from someone else, who got her from craigslist or something, and basically, she has jumped from home to home. They were going to take her back to the pound, so we decided to hang on to her to try to socialize her and put some weight on her because she was very small ~60lbs, and she should really probably be around 90lbs. During this time, we have been looking for a home for her with someone she can feel comfortable with. She has been great with me, learning new tricks like roll over and dance, but like I said, she is terrified of Howard and her quality of life isn't as good as it could be. I would keep her as my dog if I could, but I travel far too much for work/school, and I don't want her to be so miserable while I'm gone. She has all of her shots. She has an anxiety coat, leash, toys, collar, etc. and has a chip. If anyone knows someone that is looking for a dog, please let them know about Cora. She is a lab/doberman mix ~2.5 years old. We're trying to find her a home that she will enjoy so that she doesn't end up in the pound again.

    Diagnose my car

Hwilli says -- Found your problem. In all seriousness, it sounds like you lost a rod bearing.--
  14. Ok, well, I think I'm going to donate it to the trash gnomes.
  15. Sounds good. I'll be happy to get the garage space back!
  16. ^ I would disagree with that. I got a quote from Progessive on my own and it was >$1500 a year, then suddenly, when I had an agent, it was only $600.
  17. I dropped allstate last year because my rate increased by ~30%.... that's not a small increase, and I have never made a claim, no tickets, no accidents.
  18. lol, you look like a dirty hippy? I've had friends who lean towards the hippy side and have gotten some good jobs with small companies who do hippy engineering stuff
  19. Well, this thread got me going again. I just got done jogging - took the dog out.
  20. I signed up for a half marathon earlier this summer and procrastinated on the training - yikes. This was my half marathon training schedule 2 miles, 2 miles, 6 miles, 9 miles, 6 miles, HALF MARATHON. That was stretched over the course of about 2 and a half weeks. Needless to say, the day of the half marathon, I literally couldn't walk that afternoon. I didn't get my goal of 2 hours either, I think I was like 14 mins over. I'm thinking of doing another one next month, but haven't run since then. I need some motivation.
  21. Well, I could bring it over, but I'm probably one of the most expensive cleaning ladies ever.
  22. Bump - new reduced price - 2 sugar free redbulls
  23. Washer and dryer, they have been moved a couple of times so they have a few scratches and dents.
