  1. If your looking for something on the cheap check out the boz bros. Pipes the have at the pony...they look decent not sure if they have figment for a katana but it never hurts to check

Don't have a exact fitment for a Kat, but if your willing to fab a bit i'm sure something would work out ok.

  2. If he think the Victorys don't perform well, try riding one with a stage one kit. World of difference. Those motors are very powerful and fun.

Victory has always danced to their own tune, and i think this guy, is trying to ride one like something it's not. They are cruisers and touring bikes, sure it might have some power and handle well but Victory didn't grow up at the race tracks like most bike makers.

HOW do you compare a GPZ900 to anything they make?

though i do have to say, i'd like to see one of these motors in a Buell type bike, and i'm interested to see what they do with the Indian line.

  3. it could be a bad temp sensor, bad fan, or bad fan relay. i'd start by checking the relay with a multimeter, i'm not sure what readings you'd be looking for though. the fan could be tested as easily as hooking up power straight to it and see if it works. I'm not sure there is a way to check for a bad temp sensor, i'd think just replace it if both other things check out.

  4. Got my new Avon Storm 2 Ultra installed today. I wonder if the 2 Ultra mileage will exceed that of the old Avon Storm.

the 2 should get maybe a little more milage, but mostly just more even being a dual compound. From what i see they don't flatten out so much in the centers of the back. The front is where the real difference is, people can't say enough abou the ones to the twos when switching the fronts.

  5. i'm hoping that they take the freedom v-twin, Victory's current motor, up it to maybe 110 ci and make it look a little different. as far as the body work, i realllllllyyyyy hope they keep it old school and traditional to Indian's "look". I think Victory is Polaris' HD competitor, but its for the guy that doesn't want the same bike as everyone else, and doesn't care about $100 tee shirts. Indian SHOULD be it's own brand, smaller production, and very traditional looking.

  6. If the chain lube is flinging off, your putting it on wrong, i've used maxima and many others and have never had an issue with it flinging off. Are you wiping off the excess lube and letting it dry before you ride? that is the most common issue, is that no one wipes off the excess.
