  1. it sounds legit, like 240 said, people don't understand how titles work. They suck. and once someone messes up on one line of a title the whole thing is done, and you have to start over, unless you "know" people. I've bought a few bikes with "title" issues before, it can be worth your time IF you can get around it. I got screwed on one deal because of it.

  2. Is that just one unit for one rider?

The unit is a single but if you purchase another scala rider unit you can do rider to rider or passanger to rider. I use this same unit by myself, just to answer the phone or listen to music off my crackberry.

  3. The bike to bike is pretty good, and it will work with the g4 , in the g4 booklet there is speical instructions for " backwards" pairing, it is pairable to all previous scala rider units, but with the lower of the twos range. I've owned both units and was pleased with both. Also the owners manuals are availble at cardosystems.com in pdf form.

  4. If it was me i'd just get a new ignition switch, or use a universal one. On bobbers i always liked the car switches wit the turn to start, and i helps keep the handle bars clean, assuming you move it under the tank or seat.

  5. To get a key from a yamaha dealer you MUST have the "key code", to get this number you normally need to have the orignal key, because it is stamped on it. You cannot simply used the VIN like many car companys, they just don't keep track of it. It may have been stamped on the ignition switch in the older days, but not anymore. Some dealerships keep track of the key codes for the units that they sell, so if you were the original owner you might be able to call and find it out.

  6. -pipe

    -pod filter

    -rejet/jet kit

-reasonable tires (no stock size because no one makes a "good" tire set in those sizes)

    -re-gear

-digital dask (i.e trailtech, Koso, Electrosport)

    -dual sport head light

    -motorcross bars

    -lots of black paint

should make a pretty awesome bike. I've ridden a stock ex250 and i toted me around a parking lot plenty fast and is still faster than most cars.

  7. So far the've been getting pretty good reviews for "value sport touring" type tires. Conti really brought these out to help compete with lower price competitors (Shinko manly). Sure there are "better" tires out there but nothing in that price range, with as much R&D as these Conti's have. I am currently running the next model up (Conti road attacks) on my VFR and am hoping to try out their new Road Attack IIs when i'm do for a new set.

hope you enjoy the new rubber.

  8. "They don't sell this kind of battery or charger at the auto parts store or make them for bikes or cars."

wrong, it's called a Ctek Pony has three different ones in stock. all of which say specific for wet, sealed, agm, dry cell, calcium, and gel. i own two of these chargers.

bettery tender also sells a charger specific for the true gel battery. the only real diffrence is the charging speed, you want low amps and longer time to charge the battery, which is why you don't want to use a normal style car charger.
