  1. yes because playing a 2d arcade game gives one super space fighter piloting abilities. still an awesome move but it would have been better with admiral acbar
  2. when are you adding the nitrous and turbo?
  3. went out yesterday evening, i replaced the petcock on the old cl350 and had to test it out to make sure there were no leaks. ps 30 year old drum brakes cold tires and cold pavement make for some fun high speed breaking
  4. i dont know if its green but it has a vw lupo diesel engine in it
  5. now are you talking the glowing green rocks or the bike locks personally i would be more afraid of shaolin dolomite
  6. i do have my wallet on me but there are times on long trips where i stash it in the tank bag, and i figure if i come off the bike so might the tank bag. or if i am wearing pants without pockets it goes in the jacket. what i am concerned about is say the wallet is separated from me. i don't know if it was here but i remember the story about the guy who crashed his bike and while waiting for the medic to arrive someone stole his bike. the way i see it is that i am sure there is someone out there who will see me on the side of the road and go easy money take the wallet and leave. my ultimate concern is not so much for medical reasons though that does play a part. it is my concern that if something does happens if there is a phone number on a tag that says dad some person might call it and let them know. i choose to ride a bike and i know the risks, and bad shit happens. i just want to take every step i can to minimize those risks and alleviate the concerns of those who care for me. that is why i liked the dog tag idea. light, tends to stay on you, and easily changed or upgraded if a phone number changes. i mean 30 bucks for a laser etched tag is nothing if it helps even the smallest amount. i probably wont do the tat, but i personally like the idea of a functional tattoo.
  7. i will be riding a hd sporty over the mountains drinking and smoking cigars while lighting fireworks in good old North Carolina but it wont be as much fun
  8. i just vomited a little in my mouth
  9. i am thinking dog tag might be cheaper and a bit less painful, but then you know the moment i forget to wear it is the time i am going to need it. a tattoo is a lot harder to take off. i keep going back to the thought that i am lazy and a tattoo would just be alot simpler in the end.
  10. hey you think i could find a place to make tags with the ohio riders logo on one side and the medical info on the other. wow i cant believe i just said that
  11. ok then lets start a list of places not to get it tattooed collarbone (it breaks first) forehead (employment reasons) butt (i really don't want to know how they find it there in an emergency) neck (employment reasons again) anyplace else
  12. i though about the forehead but then i would have to get it twice once forwards so everyone else can read it then backwards so i know what the hell is on my head. no seriously i was think right collarbone if anywhere
  13. i saw a lovely dear about 3 feet from the road on the way out to pick town yesterday. it did not worry me as much as the idiot that was tailgating me should i have had to slow down stop.
  14. with all the accidents we had a while back it got me thinking that i should start to carry some basic medical info on me when i ride. you know blood type, allergies, age, name. does anyone carry this and if so where do you put it. i have seen a couple place that sell tags that go on the helmet strap, on lanyards and on the bike directly. i don't know about caring it on the bike because i might end up one place and the bike somewhere else in a crash and they might not find it in a pocket. any ideas or comments would be appreciated. i was thinking of writing it on the helmet or even a tattoo (not really but it is a thought)
  15. i went iron pony today, it looks like it will be just a yamaha shop at the moment. however they had a few bikes out and tagged. example an 08 r1 with a price of 9,999.00 just thought i would let everyone know.

  19. putty we may not be on the same page but i look forward to meeting you shaking hands and talking about anything bike related as long as it is not where we go to buy our bikes or where we take them to get serviced.
  20. when you purchase anything it is not just the sale of the item it is the continued service that the site provides that makes you go back or recommend it to others. putty, you have settled your problems there and speak highly of them as any satisfied consumer would. i speak poorly of them because that is the level of satisfaction that i feel about their service. when i ordered parts form them online and due to a mistake they failed to order them in a timely fashion they sent them to me next day and tossed in a t-shirt that was fair and a good response. when i ordered from their counter in the store they were friendly and helpful. when i bought my bike they gave me a fair price and a fair trade in (regardless of any of my earlier comments, it was fair). but what can i say after taking the bike back 3 times to have it checked over and then to find what i found (the rodent nest and the unscrewed fuel tank bolt) to say the least i was displeased. it was after hinds third attempt to correct my bike that i took it elsewhere that shop took my bike and went over everything. they replaced the battery with a stock battery that fit the battery cables correctly. they adjusted the bikes fluid levels back to their proper levels. and they replaced the air filter (i still have the original and am willing to show anyone it or where i parked my bike). they did all this for me even though i had not bought a bike from them. the manufacturer even stepped in to cover the cost of this. since taking it to that store i have not had a single issue or discovered any other surprises in the 3500 mile several months that i have had the bike. when i told my experience here. one of their employees publicly made allusions to a as of yet nonexistent lawsuit being taken against me by hinds in an attempt to discredit me. hinds may have good prices but i cannot recommend them. putty i say all of this with the utmost respect to you and your opinion and experience there. you have been coherent and respectful in your comments and i acknowledge this.
  21. not that i have any reason to not like hinds rodent pee rust
