  2. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55992 And please stop typing like that. Please.
  3. Extra barrel on its own is something like $150 retail, which means this isn't a bad price And I suggest reading the forum rules here: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19135 before you get yourself in trouble
  4. THATS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TYPE EVERYTHING IN CAPS, IT GETS FORMATTED TO THAT edit - oops, guess that filter doesn't work when you quote something
  5. If you still have the Cisco uBR 900 in a few weeks when I'm less broke I'll take it off your hands
  6. Tell you what. I'm probably going to be at Blackwing here in a bit, I'll see what they've got and post it up.
  7. my school didn't have hot lunches. pizza squares out of the wheel of death ftw
  8. Get the Wilson. If you can't afford the Wilson, find one of these: http://www.stiguns.com/guns/Spartan/Spartan.html Seriously.
  9. Considering how our system needs scrapped entirely and a fresh start in a completely different direction, and considering how that won't be happening any time soon, I rank it pretty low in comparison to NASA. But well above social programs, where cuts are needed. Throwing money at education doesn't work, that's been proven time and time again, the money just falls into a black hole and no one has any idea what happened to it. At least with space travel we can eventually start over fresh on a new planet.
  10. I have to agree with Austin on this. Kimberly's are bottom of the barrel for non-USGI style 1911's. There have been many stories of them not running with a shit, and the slides never lining up with the frame. If they can't even take the time to make the parts fit right on a ~$1,000 gun, what can you expect out of the rest of it? A price range would be very helpful, as well as goals. If you want something that will always run, go with something in USGI spec (like an RIA or Springer GI). On the cheap end of the "semi-custom" route (which is where Kimber falls) is the STI Spartan. It's in the $600-$700 range and suppose to be great. Next step up would be Wilson, which I THINK starts around $1500 and goes up to somewhere around the Mir space station. Of course there are other brands out there, but for the different price ranges, those seem to be accepted as the smart choices. I personally have an RIA and I couldn't be more happy. It would be my carry gun if it was a compact instead of a fullsize, it's been dead reliable and still more accurate than I am. Pricewise, it's just under the Springer GI, if you can find them.
  11. Because there was a contract involved. Let's say there is cable tv going to a box on the side of your house, but since you aren't paying for it, its disconnected. You decide that you want to watch a football game, so you go outside and connect it. There was no agreement you would pay for it, so that's a theft of service. You wrote up a contract, that you would give service for compensation. You held up on your end of the contract, he failed to, therefore he is in breach of contract. That's a civil matter, not criminal. Take him to court, represent yourself since it's (technically) a small amount. If he still doesn't pay send his ass to collections and forget about it.
  12. You've seriously never heard of the flaming ford ignition switches? Oh, and they can do a recall whenever they feel like it (as little as possible). The NHTSA or whatever it is should have info about it on their website.
  13. That's alright, I pointed it out for you :bangbang: (ducks and runs for cover)
  14. No, but it's entertaining and a fraction of the cost of a real auto
  15. nothing is cool with ford motors cobbled into the engine bay I have a tire question btw
  16. copperhead

    Ammo??

indoor ranges will shat bricks over it, otherwise who cares its cheap
  17. You know what, I changed my mind. They need claymores.
  18. Apparently where I live? In the two years that I've lived here, the only crime that I've heard of was one night someone went around and stole whatever they found in unlocked cars (didn't even bother breaking in). There are plenty of places where crime is rare which is plenty good odds. 4 break ins in a week that they've heard of, sounds pretty bad. Another thing to keep in mind, is that a thief wants to break into an empty home. If you can make it look like there is always someone home and awake (lights on) then you are less of a target if the person is looking for easy targets. If they are casing the neighborhood to the point of learning people's daily habits, it won't matter. Again - big mean dogs are more effective, or a good alarm system.
  19. I guess you've never heard of Spec Focus or the Green Baron oh, and FC's are only cool with V6's
  20. MOVE seriously, tell them they need to GTFO, there are too many nice, safe neighborhoods around Columbus to have to worry about shit like that. Of course, this is assuming they are in an apartment and moving is reasonably easy. If for whatever reason they can't move, a dog is a great deterrence. Rottweilers are very loyal and very protective. If they are dead set on just getting a gun, so be it. But make them practice with it, and get at least a small amount of training. Shotguns are large and have a good bit of recoil, which can be a problem for smaller women. The other thing is that contrary to popular belief, they do indeed need to be aimed. Handgun would be easier to use. Get something that's fullsize and has night sights, or invest in a good flashlight. My suggestions for around or under $500 (new or used, look around) 1911 -Rock Island (I love mine) -Springfield GI -Charles Daly Springfield XD Bersa Thunder Ruger P-Series (a bit chunky for my taste, but cheap and reliable) These are all semi-auto guns. If they decide they prefer revolvers, check out S&W and Taurus. Their best bet though would be to go to Blackwing, talk to Greg to see what they have in the price range, then rent them to try them out and see what they like.
