  1. the explorer is being scrapped, or the parts off it? I'll tell a friend about this, he very well may be interested, assuming it is possible to drag it onto a trailer.

lol Shief is a cool guy. If any of you ever meet him, try and figure out what kind of car he drives.
  3. Definately. I got a bb gun for christmas at age 6 and I was shooting .22's with the boy scouts when I was just old enough to join. My parents weren't into guns. They were the kind of parents that would rather ignore issues than discuss them, so I learned about firearms from everyone else. My grandfather taught me a bit, but it was difficult for him to go shooting (he's paralized) so that didn't happen often. Luckily, I had plenty of friends that lived on farms to teach me how to shoot, and how to do it SAFELY. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with teaching a child to shoot. Giving him a gun that knocks him on his ass is kind of fucked up though.

Why do pro-marijuana people always bring alcohol into marijuana debates? It seems to me that they try to somehow justify marijuana by making the claims that there is something out there that is legal yet worse. Remove alcohol from the debate for once, and then try and bring up some points as to why marijuana is a good thing. If someone needs to relax so bad that they have to use marijuana to do so, they need to reevaluate their lives in order to find out what is wrong with them. There are plenty of ways to unwind that are not harmful to anyone, and well within the confines of the law. And as to only hurting themselves....nah. Garrett argued that THC causes the body to be less immune to disease. More sickness means more load on the hospital system, which means higher insurance rates, and for those without insurance, government money (taxes) covering the rest. That is money out of the pockets of the working class (us). Habitual marijuana users are less productive in society. If employed, they waste company resources (time and money). If unemployed, they sit around on welfare throwing away taxpayer money on more drugs. Also, would it not be fair to say that marijuana is a drug dealers largest seller? If that were to be cut out, dealers would be hurt badly. To compensate, they would have to raise prices on other products. Raising prices on harder drugs means that less drug users can afford them. This is a good thing, because it is an economically natural way to get people off of harder drugs, and put dealers out of business at the same time. This would equate to lower crime. Drug users need to look at the big picture, instead of being all "ME ME ME". btw, Garrett = ownage. Evilevo gets props for bringing some intelligence in, but I feel that it is halfhearted.

I hope you are breaking in that clutch properly
  6. I've got an HP Pavilion dv1000 and I love it. 14" widescreen, DVD+CDRW drive, wireless 802.11b/g built in, 1.6 Centrino (Intel's mobile processor), 512 mb ram, 64 mb video. It plays Warcraft 3 just fine, but anything more and it's not happy. It only weighs about 3 pounds, it is by far the lightest laptop I have ever experianced. Heat is not much of an issue, the fan only flips on when the processor is running hard, and even then it's not on constantly because it doesn't need to be. I went with the extended battery, it lasts for 6 hours.
  7. I can see flash just fine "useless features" is subjective constantly releases patches? at least they are making the effort to put out quality software besides, firefox is designed so that if there is something about it that you don't like, you can change it yourself (assuming you know how to program). With IE you get what you get. The adblocker that Burgels was using is some script that someone else wrote to prevent banner ads from appearing. Obviously, it's not supported by the authors of Firefox.
  8. UPDATE!!! Prybar+Ant pushing >longtube headers

  11. I talked to him earlier, and he sounded interested in going that route. However, I didn't have your number on me at the time.
  12. I don't want to even imagine how much a Cummins motor/harness and tranny would cost. It would make the most sense to either get rid of that truck for a Dodge that already has a Cummins, or swapping in an LT1, which is what I personally would do with the truck you've already got.
  13. Just so long as you are not driving it, it does not have to be insured. It wouldn't hurt to have fire and theft insurance on it though. However, the BMV *MAY* decide to send you a letter saying that you must prove that you have insurance, or that the car is not in running condition. In order to not have to worry about that happening, don't get tags for it. If you already have tags and plan on having the car down for a long time, like a year or longer, surrender the plates to the BMV.
  14. Uhh, sounds like bullshit to me. Either tell the person that hands out the checks to start giving the check to you, and you alone, or find another job that doesn't involve family. I am assuming you are under 18, so I'm not sure what the rules are about this, but I would recommend opening a bank account at a different bank from what your mother uses with only your name on it. If you have to have a parent as a joint owner, then it's not worth the effort. But, this would be another step to keeping her from taking the money you make. As for the car situation, I would suggest taking which ever car they decide to give you and keeping it for a daily driver. It's a free car, there's not much to complain about except paying for insurance, and minimum coverage would be cheap on either of those. That way, you can save up and pick up whatever other car you want for a fun car later on, but won't have to worry about not being able to drive when it's broken or something.
  15. Catch me after work tomorrow. What kind of speakers did you get?
  16. While filling up at the Shell station just north of Hard Rd. on 315 (in the two lane section) I saw the same cop pull over two different people in the southbound lane. I have no idea what department it was, the police car was an Impala, and I didn't recognize the decals.
  17. Sorry DJ, I think the judges are going to award Jon with the W for this thread.
  18. Yeah, what he said. It's clear up to Rt. 22. At the end of the ramp, take a left at the light, and it will take you right back to 33, just before entering the 50mph zone east of Lancaster. It will probably save you 5 minutes of lights, and keep the group together better.
  19. like said above, 20 gigs is 20 gigs interfacing through your car stereo depends more on the stereo than anything. The CD player in my truck has RCA inputs on the back, I've got an RCA to 3.5mm adapter cable that plugs into the headphone out jack on my laptop. That's my MP3 player. You can also go with an RF adapter that transmits over FM band, it's the easiest way but lowest sound quality.
  20. So, the best choice would be to get a filter relocation kit to get the filter up high, so that you have minimal oil leakage when changing the filter? Or would having it up high hurt the oil's ability to flow?
  21. 33 is not so bad so long as you pay attention and don't drive like a retard, I go through there a lot and I've never had a problem.
  22. Probably get a temp tag in the state you are buying it from, then deal with getting it titled here. You could always call the BMV to know for sure.
