If it's a 2g motor, find a 1g motor somewhere COMPLETE, and have either Dave (gas,grass,ass) or Scott (Buckeye) do the swap for you. I'm no DSM mechanic by any means, but from what I have heard, that is the best bet if you have a 2g car. It will save you a lot of headaches. You may even be able to do the swap yourself. It's always a good learning experiance.

I hear there is a lot that can be done with a slant 6, but I wouldn't know what. I think Tinman was telling me about it one day. A 2JZ would be sweet, but not cheap. The 7M may be a better possibility for both price and availability, but they eat headgaskets, and nobody seems to have really pushed them past about 500 horse, so I don't know the limitations. A boosted EFI ford 300 would be interesting, but I would hate to put a ford motor into a chrysler. It's just not right. The old Datsun 280Z's had straight 6's in them, but I don't know a thing about them.
