  1. I'm the same way. I'm trying to talk the GF into us moving south, either the Carolinas or the Florida panhandle. So far no luck.

    duracoat

scrub it with CLP, it might go away
  3. and keep in mind, under Ohio law a loaded mag = loaded gun. So if you want to get really technical about it you'd have to dump the rounds out and stick them somewhere that the law states you can put them, if you want to avoid falling under CCW law.
  4. I know someone that did time for either that, or something very similar, so yeah. Besides, I would never trust a street beat cop to know every detail of every law. I'd rather not run the risk of getting tossed in a cell for something that's technically legal, but would still end up in court over.
  5. I predict 2 lanes of every fucking highway in the city closed all winter for no reason at all. Oh wait, we already have that. I've been wondering what to expect weather-wise. Have the experts been saying much?
  6. Pretty much your only option. If you get pulled over and you have a ccw permit you HAVE to inform that you have a handgun regardless if its loaded or not, locked up or not. Concealed is concealed, and in plain site while drinking would probably get you pulled out of your car at gun point. Either don't drink, or don't carry, choose one.
  7. I REALLY want to see Jeep kill off the stupid Liberty, bring back the Cherokee, then bring back the Comanche as a very reasonably priced, high MPG compact pickup since those don't exist any more, and mid size trucks almost don't exist any more either. It would be super easy for them to build them using the driveline out of the Wrangler and source a turbodiesel I4 from Cummins.
  8. seriously though, fuck this country and their politics

    Taxes.

The analogy is inaccurate. The first two guys would be getting handed $10 when everyone else's backs are turned because they have eight kids (earned income credit) Obama doesn't know anything about business. The only reason he has any money at all is because someone was paid to write a couple books that were loosely based off Obama's life, then allow Obama to take the credit for it. Wasn't Mitt's father a political refugee from Mexico? Sounds like an ideal way to raise a family.

  11. you can't put a person's seatbelt on for them

  13. yup, we didn't have rockets back then at all btw in order to legally have an automatic firearm you have to pay a tax to go through a background check that takes at least 6 months to get approved. The cheapest auto is also like $6,000 and they are more commonly $15,000 and up so your average street thug won't bother. Real life isn't like the movies where everyone finds full auto Uzi's laying around carelessly, most crime in this country is done with cheap throwaway guns.

yeah, the shitastic cameras couldn't hide those horrid special effects. It's like they aren't even trying.
  15. You probably can't beat this for the money: http://www.stiguns.com/the-sti-spartan-iii/ I've heard good things, never seen one in person though. For under a grand I'd go with that, a Rock Island (mine has been dead reliable), used Colt, Remington, Springfield. Para and Auto Ordnance have been around forever, never hear any complaints. Magnum Research (Desert Eagle) has a nice looking 1911, don't know if it will run or not but I'd like to try it out. Bud's price is $684, not bad. Sig Sauer makes good ones, not sure on pricing but I think they can be had for under a grand. So for all of these GOOD options out there, there is NO reason to go with a brand that is known to perform unreliably, and with unreliable customer service. Skip the Kimber.
  16. For the first time evar I'm saying we need to join something run by the UN. The World Forum For Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Forum_for_Harmonization_of_Vehicle_Regulations This would mean we could save taxpayer money by killing off a good portion of the NHTSA, we could easily import cars from other countries without having to spend $100,000 making them legal here because they would already be legal, and the automakers would have to make fewer different models which would save them money. Right now for any given car they have to make a left hand drive version, a right hand drive version, and a US/Canada version. Eliminate the US/Canada version and they instantly save money, which would (theoretically) get passed on to the consumer in more competitive prices. It would also allow us to get these super cheap crapwagons, and more diesels. And to import something like the Focus RS that we don't have here, we would just need to have it shipped and be done with it. So how do we start an interest group to start lobbying Congress? edit - this is also why the rest of the world started getting really good headlights in the 70's and we didn't start until the 90's. Our government didn't like better lighting.
  17. Two bikes involved. Not many details. http://www.10tv.com/content/stories/2012/10/15/delaware-officers-involved-in-crash-as-part-of-michelle-obama-motorcade-escort.html

  19. I'd take a used Colt before a new Kimberly
  20. I see two problems with this. One, when the guy was walking up to the cruiser firing, the cop should have tried to run the guy over. Failing that, he should have been exiting the cruiser with a long gun in hand.
