  2. Quick search, I'm shocked. CL/CB 350/450 are very hard to find right now. edit: open your search to CL/CB 360 also. Slightly newer, same thing. Some of the CL/CB 360 will have a front disk brake, instead of a drum. Much nicer. Not quite sure which years did and which did not. edit: I think all years of CB360 had a CB360G option which had the front disk brake. 1974 CB200 http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/1974-Honda-200x-105863342 dead CB360, needs way too much work. I would open the engine and inspect on this one, it's been sitting too long. http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3180824704.html (doing SearchTempest search of CraigsList for CB360, searching entire world) actually, not listing anything outside of Ohio. Easier to title. $100 1974 CB360 slightly smacked up http://zanesville.craigslist.org/mcy/3224450888.html $1200 complete running 1974 CB360 http://mansfield.craigslist.org/mcy/3256012901.html $800 decent 1975 CB360T with spares bike http://limaohio.craigslist.org/mcy/3244306251.html guy with an entire garage full of old bikes: http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/3253597420.html $200 1976 CB360 good starter for a cafe http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/mcy/3228936712.html $700 1975 CB360 workable http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/3228349712.html $1400 1974 CB360 complete $1500 CL360 complete and running http://toledo.craigslist.org/mcy/3245844460.html $500 unknown 1975 CB360 bobber project http://youngstown.craigslist.org/mcy/3236453899.html Ok, one from Indiana $2300 complete finished CL360 Cafe bike http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/mcy/3209606194.html Ok, one from Kentucky. 3. Shit people, I've a new record of five in one morning's 8 mile commute. One joggled to the right lane at a red light, as I was pulling up. That got the brights on, one foot behind the rear bumper. Left the brights on. The rising Sun was at my back, and people were not using their mirrors, as if they could see much anyway. One changed to the right at another light, causing hard braking for me, AND THE ONE BEHIND IT FOLLOWED THEM OVER, regardless that I was right there. And two people pulled up along side while I was in a line of traffic, and wanted over. No, I haven't learned to vanish yet, move along... Your brakes are your friends. Use then early and often. Granted, I normally don't ride the right lane in traffic, but traffic was heavy and I was just put-putting along. All dork moves by cars happened at locations well known for that happening. I fully expected it.

  5. I had one girl friend that used to fall asleep on the back all the time. If her arms were up front I'd feel or see them loose grip and slump. Can't ride like that, and have to stop right away. I admit that when tired and bored I'll ride resting on the tank with one eye closed at a time. Propped up with one arm, my hand on my chin. Can't do that very long. Either wake up or stop. I miss some of the older bikes. You could put the feet on the rear pegs and lie down on the tank and ride with one hand. Comfy...
  6. There are VPN apps, but I haven't tried any yet.
  7. Ok, I can understand the throttle chop for over revving the prop. Although couldn't control throttle fast enough for the situation. He's lucky he wasn't knocked out with the throttle full on. Do these boats use throttle lanyards or deadman switches?
  8. yoww, hard hits. Even hard roll. Sunglasses explode off passenger's faces and fly away. What the heck was he doing chopping the throttle full on and off? durrrr dubstep edit: [ame] [/ame]long version of original here edit: Video Released of Boat Wake Injuries at Lake of Ozarks The news cameraman was hitching a ride, and attached a camera for the ride to a restaurant.
  9. Verizon was fined for trying to stop people from using tethering apps. Their response was to roll tethering into the new plans and raise the cost the same amount as what adding tethering would cost. For everyone, regardless of whether you used it or not. Worse, tethering still violates the old plan agreement regardless of court decisions, and they can occasionally catch and force people to add the option or upgrade. I've heard of no one anywhere that had to do that. I use PdaNet to connect tablet to phone, when wireless is not available. Bluetooth or USB.
  10. hrmmm.... Atlanta, here's another, just as screwed up back in 2010: Hit a motorcycle on the freeway, and tried to drive away with the bike under the car. Cops: Driver of car that hit motorcycle on I-285 tried to leave scene
  11. http://www.traileraddict.com/clip/serenity/leaf-wind Notably, Washburn didn't survive much longer.
  12. Yes indeed. They were cheap back when. More importantly, one shot is enough.
  13. ewww.... I don't like guns. But if I did like guns, I suppose I'd drop an old school Charter Arms Bulldog 5-shot 44cal special with Pachmayr combat grips in a pocket and be on my merry way.
  14. I saw that. I'm pretty sure he's just jumping the starter switch connection for the right handlebar, and would still have to turn the key or jumper that stuff. Wouldn't make a bet, but just a guess. Third wire in his connector would be front brake light.
  15. Two recipes from the White House. Apparently they have taken to brewing their own beer in the kitchen. And it's said to be quite good. A honey ale and a honey porter. From the White House blog: Ale to the Chief: White House Beer Recipe
  16. For a 2005 ZX6R: At the ignition switch: W = battery BR = ignition BL = tail 1 R = tail 2 W/BK = battery (another one) W/G = tail 3 GY = ignition The brown is attached to the 10A fuse at the fuse box, so keep an eye on that. The white is attached to the starter relay. (30amp fuse across the relay high side) This is the "ignition system circuit" edit: this is not the starter switch on the right bar, still have to push that. And don't forget the side stand. That other ignition wire, GY (grey?) goes to the ECU edit: service manual downloaded from the Carl Salter website oh crap edit: some of these bikes are equipped with an Immobilizer System, and the key has to match the ECU.
  17. Quick buy an entire new lock set with key? Don't forget the gas cap lock/seat lock. Or, some motorcycle shops will cut keys. Call them, and they would know local locksmiths anyway. No idea how to hot wire until you mention which bike you're working on. edit: oh yeah, don't forget to put the kickstand up before trying to start it, if it's got a shutoff.
  18. Radar works on the amount of signal returned. This is called a Radar Cross Section (RCS). Even a small object can be noisy and gather a good return signal. A motorcycle is not smooth compared to sheet metal on a car, and has a large return signal regardless of plastics. Plastics are somewhat transparent to radar. The two largest returns on a car, from the front, are the radiator, and stuff inside including the driver. Yes, the glass is transparent to radar.
  19. Not often, only about twice a week in downtown city traffic. Hell, some days three times in a row in ten minutes...

We're not allowed to quote Fox News, they are blatant right wing liars. Oh wait.... *confused*...
  21. Airborne is good, with no sudden stops. I'll take that any day. Been there, done that... It's part of that smooth thing, let the bike go, when it's time to separate. Glad you had witnesses, that's rather important anymore with a world full of liars. edit: Sudden or stupid lane changes in or near intersections are a major cause of accidents. Really wish people wouldn't do that. Just thought I'd throw that in...
  22. hahaha, I worked through college doing painting and carpets in the Summers. We used cheap strong soap. Nothing special. Charged a little less than other outfits. Most of the basic and fancy stuff you need is in an Ace hardware. Probably Lowes also, if it can be found. edit: Any advantage would be in the equipment pulling a huge vacuum to remove dirt. Work at it for a while with lesser equipment and you get about the same thing. Difficult stains and dirt, just double the soap used, and let it soak first. (I'd spray the tough parts first thing done, and run the vacuum on it last thing done.) shock edit: $400, really? Geez... back in the day... you know, $40 bucks... Isn't inflation great, just slap x10 on everything that ever was.
  23. JRM hid it in the Bike night, WTF.- daily ride, as post #26. A little hard to find...
  24. I'm running the Sylvania SilverStar H4ST which fits my Honda. Standard fit halogen bulb to replace stock. 76 candela, which is about 955 lumens. Way brighter than stock and whiter at 4000k, and easy at 10-20 bucks. I get the impression that the equivalent GE NightHawk bulb is crap. Also adding small new high tech - high power LED lights that each equal the output of the headlight. Not cheap, but lots of light at very low current draw. Around one amp each (10-15 watts vs 35-60 watts). The future is here. Might even do a second pair for "fog lamps", they are so small. LED setups make a lot of claims about output, and most are not more than daylight marking lights or dress up. A couple of brands are real headlights. None are legally acceptable yet as replacements for the original headlight. Only as auxiliary add-ons. I always recommend carrying a spare headlight bulb. Wrapped up inside the headlight bucket is a good place to store it.
