  1. I am a bit hungry... steak sounds good to me. I'll be right there...
  2. I read today that all the motorolas have eFuse built in. Apparently it's not activated on most.
  3. Yeah, Droid X, so terrible that it sold completely out the first day.
  4. That can be done. Pulse cannon, not so much.
  5. shoot... I was thinking more like high energy air-to-air pulse cannon...

    NEO rider down

It's at the end of a road divide. Might have been an attempted U-turn.
  7. haha you said MotoHeard... easy enough to get to, I'll go.
  8. But do try adjusting the clutch first.
  9. Theft of data can be done at the pump without even doing that. The card scanner signal leaks so badly, that electronic snooping gear in the van next to you can hear it, burn a card to match, and buy gas immediately.
  10. Ancient history. We used to have "board track racing" in the USA. Until so many spectators got killed, they had to ban it. Board Track Racing
  11. Everything I know about bike nights this year for Central Ohio: Start with Quaker State at Polaris on Wednesdays and follow the crowd. http://www.ohio-riders.com/showpost.php?p=474456&postcount=6
  12. Since you asked, it's the percentage of fatalities per total fatalities: Non-fatal accident data is similar. This is just the US Census fatalities for licensed drivers from 1996: 20 to 24 years old 15.2% - 8,700 (5 years only - equivalent to 30.4% - 17,400 in comparison) 25 to 34 years old 22.6% - 13,000 35 to 44 years old 20.4% - 11,700 45 to 54 years old 12.4% - 7,100 55 to 64 years old 7.1% - 4,100 65 to 74 years old 5.2% - 3,000 75 years old and over 4.9% - 2,800 The at risk groups would be the ones that the percent of total fatalities exceeds the percent of total drivers. There is one group that clearly exceeds all others. The 16 to 24 year old group has 27.3% of the fatalities for 13.5% of the drivers. The numbers and percentages steadily decline with age. The older you are, the more safer/smarter/skilled you are. Or you are dead already.
  13. Before making changes to something that isn't broken... The ratio of accidents and/or fatalities for the age group 65-75, is four or five times lower than each of the age groups 16-25, 25-35, 35-45. I understand that doesn't consider miles driven, but at five times lower, somethings done right. What needs to be legislated, is a prevention for the drivers that suddenly start having a lot of accidents. Basically the onset of dementia. And if you include drunkenness or lots of tickets, I think we'd find a scattering among all the age groups. Besides, I think dementia is the middle name of some people on here... just sayin'
  14. The testing was done by Toyota Motor Corporation. They did not investigate electronic failure of the electronic throttle, as a source of the throttle failure.
  15. There it is! All in one short sweet sentence.
  16. True, I'll agree with that. Way back when... we'd actually stop and turn the bike off, if we missed a shift. And then sort out the transmission. Times change.
  17. I think you're asking what the Heavy Metal MC is. I don't know, I've never heard of them before. I think just a group/club. There is a Heavy Metal MC chapter in Cleveland also.
  18. So what happens with the previous Tuesday night Avg Joe's Pub bike night? Will there be both Tuesday and Saturday bike nights there? Inquiring minds want to know... 4949 E. Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43081
  19. Not a fan of shifting without the clutch on a regular basis. You should know how to shift without the clutch, and be good at it. But it will eventually damage transmission parts. Older era motorcycles will suffer damage even faster, since they have a less sturdy transmission design. Most motorcycles have a constant syncro mesh style design in all gears. That type of transmission has a certain RPM (velocity of the meshing gears) that will shift without the clutch. If you're right at that RPM, it's smooth. It will also shift without clutch at all other RPMs as well. It just won't quite be as happy about it. You can feel it usually, if you put light pressure on the shift lever, as the tach is climbing or dropping, you'll feel it suddenly change gears at that meshing RPM. I keep thinking about having to drive a truck with no syncro in first gear (or more), and having to double clutch it to synch the gears in order to up or down shift.
  20. China has also started to free up the monetary trade imbalance in currency exchanges. Which means stuff won't be so cheap in China anymore. That will also increase prices of Chinese goods, if purchased with USD.
  21. Yeah, that was a staff article. Maybe even computer generated. It even said "the driver", and I had to change it to "the rider".
