Make sure the plugs are the correct type/heat range. Looks like maybe fuel problem now, dirty carb or injectors. Be sure to re-check the voltage in the battery, and make sure it's not running down, from some other electrical problem. Is your can stock? Or swapped out?

+3 for Honda, I got 3 of them... ignore the fact that one doesn't run...

BTW, it's very easy to mess up when you set up your LimeWire, and have your computer set as a server node... which really pisses people off, if you have a slow connection...
-
Any AdWare, SpyWare, Trojan, or application could rat on a particular application. And even rat on the extent of it's usage. The mere presence of an active LimeWire, results in clear activity across ports used by LimeWire. Which invites the curious, or the snooping application, to go look and see what your LimeWire software is offering for trade. Even switching off the upload, setting "no outbound files", is not going to prevent the files in the default folder from being seen. Not if you are actively using the LimeWire to download. LimeWire has got too many viruses (in the downloads), and false servers are common. And some of those false servers are doing just what you don't want them to do. Collect information about what you got, and what you've been trading. Basically, the LimeWire itself IS the rat. It's part of it's design. Un-install your LimeWire and forget about it.

I don't know about the AutoZones in your area, but around me, they just don't stock it up. I often can't find what I want for paint and paint gear. The Advanced Auto Parts will probably have more stuff on the shelf to check out.

Yup... they will upgrade to "technicals" (pickup trucks with heavy machine guns in back) at any moment... Then the real fun begins.

5 years old... eek... actually, 12.5 is low for a 12 volt 6 cell battery. It should have around 14.5-14.8 new. My memory says something like 2.45 volt per cell. That would be 14.7 volt total. Charging system output is usually 14.5 volt. And yes, the problem described is typical of a weak spark. The clue was cutting high beam, and the bike ran better. I'm surprised it didn't try to stall when you hit the brake light.
-
Hell, go ahead and patch it, at least it's a spare after you replace it with a new one. You never know, you might need another one this year. I kinda miss tube tires, they were a lot easier to patch up. But I never patched the tube, I replaced the tube. ...Wait, at least one of my bikes has tube tires...

^^ Yes, what Ross said... err... what Ross as Ron said... *confused* It would work, yes, and if anything, it would fail faster than on a car tire. It's not like plugs and patches don't fail, they fail often. At least for me they do. You'd just have to keep an eye on it. Check tire pressure often.
-
Replace it. The only patch that would work for a limited length of time, would be a full patch from the inside. And any patch on a motorcycle tire is an emergency thing, just to get home and replace it. Having said that, seems I remember finding a nail in Spz9's rear tire, and she rode it through Coshocton anyway. But that one wasn't leaking air at all. And it took her forever to replace the tire. Maybe you should get those tires that wear out in one year anyway, like mine, ha.

Please remember what that feels like. When it happens, stop immediately and check it out.

It's pretty active, but most are out riding right now... Welcome...

I've not seen this ever before, but already this year I've seen two cars back into motorcycle lots that had dividers to stop them. Cement dividers scraping the suspension, oil pan and gas tank, making all sorts of noise. Didn't seem to slow them down much. IF they make it over the dividers, they can easily hit a parked bike. Idiots not really looking at what they are doing. Thursday, a beater pulled INTO a motorcycle lot, and parked there! Probably putting at least both right side tires over the divider, and parked. A car isn't going slow, if it makes it over the dividers. It had 3 tickets. Driver was obviously pissed when they came back, the tire burn marks out over the divider kinda showed that part. Point is... That's where I normally park my bike... It could have easily been totaled by an idiot, that would have just drove off, if I had parked there that day.

Take care not to damage the rear brake linkage, when trying to straighten it. It would be best to remove the brake pedal to work on it. And I'm saying this to an engineer... doah! I can't remember if your rear brake is drum or hydraulic. Guessing drum.

It was really windy for a while today, it might have blown over, or a bike next to it blew over and got your's too. It doesn't happen often, but I had one blown over into a chain link fence. And with a cover on a bike, I've seen bikes move about from the parachute effect in high winds (Mine, a couple of nights ago. It helps if it's cabled down and can't move too far.) Sorry to hear it MJ, it's time to do some work on your bike. It won't be fun to ride as it is now. Buy locally or mail order, a rear brake lever right away. Make a list of all you see, old and new problems, and let's get it fixed. Safety items first. Plastics also. Whatever it takes. I'm sure we'll help you out. Anybody seen an EX500 in any of the bike-yards? For parts?

I don't like this part: WTH? What are the odds of that...

There was frost on my motorcycle this morning. And ice on the tires after riding through the wet lawn. Wunderground said 38F to 42F at the time... It was extremely slippery on the road, I took the bike back after only going about a half block. Weird...

I used to go watch Sarah Fisher race winged outlaws (WoO). 800 hp winged sprints when she was 14. She's related to one of the engineers I used to work with. One of her practice seasons in Florida, she was 16 and racing adults, who thought it was all cute, until she beat them all repeatedly. More power to them, kids, both guys and gals. http://www.sarahfisher.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Fisher

Yup, this is a strange one. I'd like to know who and what was intended... I guess it's going to remain a mystery for quite a while. It really does point out how fragile all the new technology really is. I wouldn't throw out those old CB radios quite yet.
