looking for some quick info about bike covers. There's different kinds, any recommendations? does it matter what kind?
My bike is old and prone to rust (morning dew is all it takes). I moved into an apartment recently and have a patio area I could keep the bike. The roof overhangs a few feet but not over the entire patio.
So I want a bike cover but know nothing about them. Could use some pointers in the right direction.

i have a OGK FF4 GP (european spec) in medium.
it's blue and grey pretty much with a bit of red.
if you're interested, let me know.
pic would help. So would an asking price....?
Of course I'd really have to try it on to know for sure.

I have a scorpion exo 100 that is for sale, good condition, size is small but would most likely be more snug (safer). PM me if your interested
I can't wear a small. The medium is just right.
-
why do people have small heads?? little brains?? :shrugs:
Id buy if if i had a smaller nugget...
I used to have the black version. I'd only want this for the novelty though, I'm not a huge fan of pink.
-
You are welcome to buy the one I got from Brian not too long ago. It's brand new but unfortunately is too small for my head Here's the link. I'm selling it for $100, which is what I gave him for it:
mmmmmm
EDIT: I may have to take you up on this. wont know for sure till Friday if that's ok.
-
I like the scorpion brands, have never worn any others yet so would have to try them on to be sure. I need a size medium, want to keep it under $200 if possible, and obviously the lower the cost from there, the better.
color/graphic preferences:
blue, gray, white, black, or purple color schemes.
I wont buy anything with vulgar or obscene graphics.
-
I will ship it. I will try to get pics of it tomorrow.
so whatever happened with this?
-
I'm interested but if that fits like a medium it may be too small. I have a motoGP that I got from someone on here, it's a woman's large and it's a snug fit.
-
Everything sold, except the pants, which I've decided to hang onto.
Thx
so this thread can be closed then yes? (unless you change your mind about the pants, you think they'd fit a woman if she were about that waist size?)

looks like I picked a good day to drop by these old forums again.... I was planning on possibly hitting this route tomorrow but I don't remember how to get there... if anyone could email me a google.map of it or sumthin......? much appreciated.
(No I will not be getting out as early as those going with this group so I can't just "tag along" and follow you. You all ride way to fast and crazy for me anyway I can't keep up on my poor slow old zuki)...
-
I plan on riding but I really wanted to go to 10/22. It's just really far and my bike isn't exactly new.
-
interesting... I might check this out tomorrow if I don't try to go to 10/22. speaking of which I need to get the route.
-
that would be Robotech Shadow Chronicles. I haven't seen it. The original plastic and best buy price tag are still on it.
[i have a few other robotech related items if you are interested....]

I don't want these anymore but I'd rather not throw them out or send to goodwill. I will sell both for $10 if someone here wants them.
I also have a ton of anime I am wanting to sell. The photo link will show everything, sorry but the image is gargantuous. If you see anything you are interested ask me for price. You can expect it to be about the same or a little cheaper than what you'l find on amazon for any given title.
here's the link:

thanks for that... K this is what he actually said the first time he started it up...mistting fuel out the left carb, could be the float sticking but not for sure.
But he said today that it didn't happen anymore, as if maybe it was just cause the bike was cold from being apart for a few weeks etc.
However he mentioned the float...
Last year I had the carbs cleaned. I was there when the guy did it and I saw all the parts though i did not know what I was looking at. I saw him clean them too. But there were two white-ish rubbery float things kind of needle shaped I think, one of them was bent clear down and completely out of position from what it should have been.
He said he was surprised I was able to not only ride the bike but that I was getting the horsepower I was getting out of it.
anyway....
I don't know anymore if I'm going to get a rebuild kit. Have to talk to the guy doin the work again.
-
thanks that helps.. ok next question..
say I get a carb rebuildin kit... I don't know how to do it and he said he's never done it before and is obviously uncomfortable trying it without anyone experienced around.
anyone on here be willing to help me out if I got a kit?
-
a friend from work has been doing some maintenance for me on my bike and has recently found what he described as a leak. I am bad at recalling word for word so I'l ask him to email what he said happened exactly but baisically he thinks I should get a rebuild kit for the carbs.
this be something I know nothing about. Like where do I get one, how much could I expect to pay? Or would it be better to try and get new carbs all together?
this is for a 93 suzuki GS500.

I'd be tempted to offer mine for $1500 but I doubt you'd be interested since it's not a Honda and it's not an 80's model. Mine is having some work done to it should be finished by the end of the weekend. I'm looking forward to test riding her afterwards. should be much nicer.
good luck with yer search!
-
I kind of stumbled on this thread and am wondering if you have any more progress photos? the bike looks cool. This interests me alot cause I have an older bike not a honda though. I like seeing what can be done with them in terms of customization and performance enhancements.

well technically it will be monday by the time this posts so... yeah...

it's short and sweet. just plain dumb luck funny.
-
believe me the dog would stay inside if I had it my way. its not even technically my dog, it's my mother's. She's well enough behaved that she usually wont mess in the house so I don't see what the big deal is myself.
anyway... I'm glad to read that I'm not the only one with these kinds of problems. I dunno about traps or poisons yet. we'l see.....
-
friend from work is helping me do some repairs. and low and behold I seem to have a pest problem in the garage at home. unfortunately it's my parents garage and they keep the dog out there most of the time with food and wather which of course has attracted mice and or rats. Why the little buggers are stashing their keep here is beyond me.

+1, does anyone bother to research the source anymore?
hrm.....
These were on the first page of Google search when I looked up "Rick Joyner". Yea, this guy can be trusted......mmmhhhrrrmm.... fine research my friend!
google and youtube vids..I'm sure the guy who put that video together is totally reliable..
Why not get your facts from the real source and not the first page of google results?
still...I suggest that perhaps the biggest problem with your research is that you typed in 'Rick Joyner' for your search topic. maybe it should have been 'national health care bill'... or better yet, the guy who did the summary: Mat Staver of the Freedom Foundation and Liberty Counsel
Mathew D. Staver*
Founder and Chairman Dean and Professor of Law
Liberty Counsel Liberty University School of Law
Offices in Florida, Virginia and the District of Columbia, Lynchburg, Virginia
(800) 671-1776 - Telephone (434) 592-5300 - Telephone
that would be a more accurate source for the actual topic of this thread which is the bill itself.
If you just want to peg Mr. Joyner, a new thread might be in order.
-
actually I didn't bold them. "...The comments by the brief are Mat’s, except where I have noted my own by putting them in italics. The bold is also mine."...
so that makes the bold Rick Joyners.
This scares me...I'm mostly moderate in terms of the political spectrum and I used to be slightly left leaning, but due to events of late I've become more right leaning.
The things you bolded are ridiculous...
