  1. I was a walk in also last year. I got very very lucky. It was the first week of July, there were alot of no shows the day I walked in. I was late too. Me and 14 other walk ins all got a spot in the class. two of them had to go to diamond oaks the last two days but it all worked out.

  2. Hey I have some oil leaks I want to get fixed... I am tight on money and figure someone around here may have some good advice as to where I can get the parts I need....Be it a shop or a website.

I have some pictures in my albums of some of these leaks. I've heard there are seal kits you can get and I wonder if I should get something like that and if so what kind.... I am not knowledgeable when it comes to the mechanical stuff. If anyone wants to inspect my bike in person and tell me what they think I need to get, that would be appreciated too.

I can also take more pictures. I have a manual, similar to a haynes manual if you've ever seen one of those. I haven't had much time to search for parts in it yet though, it's kind of greek to me.

Any help would be appreciated. I do have a friend from work who said he'd fix the leaks for me for cheap if I just get the parts I need. But I don't know what parts I need.

    thanks guys!

  3. ...I'm so bummed about this. The back tire was in such good condition I wasn't gonna need a new one for a good while, maybe never since I wasn't planning on keeping the bike for tooo long.

but I need a new rear tire. so not happy bout this.....

as for tire size/type... this is the info from the tire that I have, not sure if this is what I need?

Someone from work mentioned you can get some bike tires from firestone or tire discounters... I'l check there unless someone on here has a spair they'l sell me cheap, or knows of a better place?

  4. haven't been on here in ages but this thread was right at the top so I stopped in. Congrats on your first ride hon. I took the written exam last year for my temps so I could go through the ohio baisic rider course and got my license that week. got my first bike a month later. been great ever since. and I never rode before the baisic rider course either. I just wish I had money now for the kind of gear I really want. I'm not happy with my current helmet or jacket.

  5. I hate to ask this but I really don't feel like searching google or wiki right now... ...street fighter.... where does that come from why are some of these bikes refered to as having a 'street fighter' look?

...some dude from work mentioned my bike had that look... maybe for it's time. It's out dated I think.. I dunno.

[yeah all you who remember me.. I'm not dead. Just inactive till now].....

  6. I think that PWNS big time.

i found this on another site:

This is a portion of a National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation.

(I this is one of the best comeback lines of all time… biggrin.gif )

    -----

    FEMALE INTERVIEWER:

So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?

    GENERAL REINWALD:

We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery, and shooting.

    FEMALE INTERVIEWER:

    Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

    GENERAL REINWALD:

I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

    FEMALE INTERVIEWER:

Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

    GENERAL REINWALD:

I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

    FEMALE INTERVIEWER:

But you're equipping them to become violent killers.

    GENERAL REINWALD:

Well, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you’re not one, are you?

The radio went silent and the interview ended. All over America, people were thinking: Semper Fi, Marine !
