  1. I work in pleasant ridge which is right by kenwood, I can try and help you if you need it or take a look. let me know

I would definately appreciate it, specially if you are someone knowledgeable in engine work of any kind. I've even kind of wondered if someone with some clutch/gear wisdom would care to test ride her. Sometimes I think it feels odd when shifting but it may just be me. *shrug*

    I work 5pm-1:30am. I'l PM ya.

  2. depends on the weather and where I'm riding. Since the bike does need work I try not to ride it very often. I don't have the best gear either so I don't plan on doing any KY routes this summer.

I don't expect anyone to do any work on the bike. I just need some expert advice.

Someone from my work has offered to do the work cheap for me but he lives at least an hour away. So I want to have the parts before I ride the bike up there so I can give him the parts at work and not have to transport them on the bike. And I'm not sure if I can afford everything at once so I'd really like to try and get everything I need before taking the bike up there... which means it will be several weeks before I can even have any work started.

  3. hey I took the course last july and had never been on a bike before. Just do the written test so you have your temps. The course is cake work, 3 days 4 hours each day, last two days are on the bike. And when they say basic course, they really mean a 3 year old could do it.

I was comfortable enough to buy a bike right after the course and start riding on my own. Don't look at the whole thing as something to be intimidated by cause it's really not. Be encouraged and just go for it, look at it this way... you wont loose alot of time or money if you go through the course and change your mind or if you go through the course and fail it. It's only $25!

I'd go for an actual bike and not a scooter for your first ride though I mean you should get used to shifting and I don't think you can do that on a scooter.

    welcome to the boards!

  4. I need to determine what parts I need to order for my bike to deal with some oil leaks... and also where the best deals will be for getting them, be it online or a local shop...

So I was curious if there were any riders in the area who could help me by looking over my bike with me and telling me what they think I need and where I can get it.

I live near the kenwood mall and can ride to you if you'd prefer. I would prefer this to be in person than over the forums with pictures and guesswork. thanks to anyone who can/is willing to help me!

  5. i have it, havent used it, but watched some of it... much more intense then my wii fit work out... haha

mail me a flash drive and ill mail it back with it on it...

hey what about the meal guide/nutrition plan? or is that on dvd also?

  6. I was wondering if anyone would mind posting their before and after pics? if you used to be out of shape since you started working out, or even if you were kind of fit but have become even more toned... (maybe this should even be a new thread over in the pictures board, i dunno....)

I am curious about the P90x but also don't really wanna spend the money for it. But I like the idea of working out in the privacy of home. I'm self-concious and shy. Otherwise I'd go to the ymca or join some fitness club somewhere.

  7. uhm... I'm sure I'l get post flamed to hell and back for this but (....Ladies of OR hopefully I'm not the only one who pondered this...?)

I was just wondering why it has to be pictures of a hot [or the hottest] girl next to your bike? I mean sounds like a great contest in general but...

i want to contribute to the site, and i know im not a sponsor, but i will sponsor a activity for everyone. and this can get a cool idea rolling.

I'm just thinking if it's to contribute to the site and be for everyone why not keep it a little more generic? Make the focus more on everyone's bikes and not hot chicks next to bikes? Perhaps include something from the site such as your hot bikes with your OR stickers on them?

To up the anti make it a unique or otherwise important location of the photo?

Perhaps who can be the most creative in combining several elements into one picture? Your bike, OR stickers, shirts, and locations around ohio?

That just seems more all inclusive to me as well as supportive of the site without being biased to genders or looks or anything like that...

basically a Babe of the year contest..

$10 entry fee (could be $15?)

your bike and a chick post a few pics (or if your a chick with a bike your bike and you), some admins/moderators will pick the best picture of 3 submitted. (subject to change)

out of this you could even do a calender from all the entries or some of the entries if they want them in a calender.

I do think this contest is a great idea and the calendar could be cool also. But I myself would have no interest in a calendar of just hot woman and bikes. I do have an interest in the calendar they just did which I even contributed to and I still haven't bought one...never got around to it.. shame on me. I wonder if I can still get one... >.>

winner gets... since i wanna help out... a free detail from me (some of you ahve seen my work from the pics i posted up, some have seen it in person). value... possibly up to $200 (depends on the bike)

and the picture on the front of the site saying "babe of the year winner" with a write up blah blah blah.

not that I'd win even if I was to enter, but... just on the improbable chance of someone like me winning... my bike needs lotta work I don't think a detail job would be that great right now. could I just take the cash equivelant instead? That would be a big help in the parts I need for the maintenance work I gotta get done lol

  8. I really like the scores to movies like that. I wonder if its possible to get the scores from new movies before they'r even out yet. Most of the summer blockbusters this year have awesome music in them and I'm not used to finding soundtrack cd's with just the orchestral/instrumental scores.

  9. where's your shop? ...

the tire thing was already sorted out. The tire with the screw was not actually punctured all the way through, but I am curious if the tire is still ok. Wouldn't mind having a profesional opinion.

we could do a complete inspection on it for around $150. That would include a dyno as well

also... what's a dyno? sorry but I am still a noob to alot of this.

  10. got a tire from sport tour.. I forgot bout them, thats where I got my helmet and jacket [the jacket of which I may be post for sale soon]...

gixxie750 put the tire on for me. but get this, that screw didn't even go all the way through the tread of the tire. Not even a bump was visible on the inside of the wall.

So I probably spent $90 today that I really didn't need to spend, and now I have a spare tire. But what really blows, there was a ride today I wanted to attend. I thought it was next week. Nope.. was today. I coulda been riding instead buying a bike tire. hahah oh well.

  11. i can do it to just not till tonight.

uhm... hey, that actually could work out for me.

I'm waiting for a call back from sport tour. They could sell me a tire for a good price but they couldn't install it till Monday plus it would be an extra $45 minimum.

And if I do want them to install it, I can't trailer my bike. I'd have to ride it over there and hope I don't have an accident on the way.

If your serious, uh... the old tire still has to come off mind you. My bike has a center stand. I have no tools for the job myself. And if you are able to do it, what about balancing?

I'm gonna send you a PM.

  12. sport tour.. if only they weren't so far from me. But if they have a tire for me at a good price I might be willing to make the treck out there. I could buy one online but I'd still have to pay for shipping and wait around for it to get here.

Catman, I don't have the tire yet, nor do I have the other one off the bike. I haven't done either due to lack of time/energy. And I haven't bought the tire yet cause it turns out I need to wait for payday. I hope to have this whole thing accomplished by Sunday. I want to ride some this weekend.

  13. does anyone here in cincy have equipment for putting a tubless tire back on a rim? I may need some help with that later on [today possibly or maybe just later in the week] if anyone wouldn't mind.

...goin to church right now but be back home later this afternoon to see if anyone has any yes responses for me.

  14. if you were closer to coshocton i would do it for you. a couple guys in coshocton have ran a tire with a patch plug for the entire life of the tire (nail in the center of the tread within the 1st 100 miles of the tire). the tire that is on the rear of ron burgundy's bike has a patch plug in it right now.

so how hard/often does he ride?

...see on the one hand I want the new tire because of the whole.. thought lingering in the back of my mind deal. But on the other hand... I just blew alot on some recent car work and I still need to get parts for the oil leaks on my bike. this is crappy timing because there are two rides this month I wanted to attend I think I already missed one of them.

since I don't ride very hard or very often, if the patch/plug idea would fix the problem I'd probably be willing to go that route. Course I'l still have to pay for mounting and ballancing. >.>

  15. friend of mine says he can patch my rear tire. are patching and plugging very different? Tire is in good shape minace the screw, i'd love to save it if I can.

    ...

I also don't ride as hard as some of the ppl here. Only once or twice a month and I don't hug the curves major hard. I wont put a peg or a knee down.

  16. ah, you think it wont do much harm to be riding with the leaks? the one on the left side, I noticed last time I was riding was bad enough I could really see it leaking out. Not gushing but I mean there was a very clear line of oil and drips on my left foot.

I do need to change the oil anyway. I'm probably not as tight on money as I am making it sound right now but I am penny pinching when it comes to fixing the bike. The cheapest I can go, the better. course, who doesn't want to save money when it comes to stuff like this?
