  1. My first exposure to motorcycles was when I was about 10-11 years old. A guy who worked near the school bus stop had a Harley with a side car. Ever since then I was fascinated with motorcycles. Took my first ride on one in 1987, a beat up little Honda that a buddy of mine had in his garage. His Dad was pissed off when he found out we got it started and rode it in a nearby field. It wasn't until 1995 when I finally owned my first motorcycle. I didn't have a lot of money then and my wife told a coworker of hers that I was looking to buy a motorcycle. He had a 1978 Kawasaki KZ750 in parts that he was looking to rebuild, but never got around to it. He sold it to me for $200.00. The frame had the motor and rear wheel attached. The rest was in a box. Between Iron Pony, JC Whitney, and The Rice Paddy I was able to get this back together and road worthy. It was a lot of fun, but eventually I was putting more work into it than riding. I've always liked the cruiser style bikes which is why I now own a VTX1300. Great bike and she has been tried and true through many miles of states and countries. I've ridden other styles and appreciate each one for what they're intended for and am looking forward to the day when I'm able to have each one waiting in my garage to be ridden.
  2. I really enjoyed the series. It would be pretty sweet to have that kind of disposable income to do a trip like that, or at least have a friend who could afford to bring you along.
  3. Great story and pics! http://mrkensbikerlifestyle.com/?p=35
  4. I'd like to have someone come through my neighborhood with a Zamboni. The packed down snow and ice needs to be smoothed out.
  5. Check the Classified section of this site for anything VTX. http://www.vtxoa.com/forums/index.php By the way, the rear spoked rim for the 1800 is the same size as the 1300. Good luck with your project.

  8. I like my Toshiba NB205. Great gift from my wife. I love that Lady! No Issues to speak of. Still fine tuning the touch pad, it's very sensitive.
  9. Typing with beer goggles can also be a dangerous pastime.
  10. This afternoon I was at the Petland in Lewis Center and they have one for sale.
  11. A pond behind the first rest stop in Louisiana coming out of Texas. The sign reads "No Swimming".
  12. I don't care for either team one way or another, but I did go into the game wishing to see Alabama win. Then McCoy gets hurt and I see this kid Gilbert get in struggling and then he starts to get into a rhythm. I started to root for the kid. The outome is what I figured it would be. A great game to watch.
  13. It should be no secret that I'm a big advocate of Flying Horse Farms. A charity that allows kids with illnesses the opportunity to just be a kid. Check out the 2010 Flying Horse Ride to Greensboro, NC. Police escort provided from Ohio to NC. As far as pets are concerned, I like Harlequin Haven, a Great Dane rescue in Bethel, OH.
  14. Thanks! Hopefully I won't be too much of a stranger in 2010.

  16. Hey Moose. Yeah, working weekend. I saw Dave today at the mall and he told me that it was well attended. Take care.

  17. I just converted an image to EPS. with my Adobe program. Go ahead and send me your image and I'll take care of it for you.
  18. I already use Plexus. I thought I might have to use something different since there was a "special" coating. By the way, the helmet arrives tomorrow. Pretty impressed with sportbiketrackgear.com and their shipping.
  19. So what's recommended to clean the face shield and protect the coating?
  20. Thanks for the advice. I went to the Iron Pony last night and tried a few on. I liked the fit of the Scorpion EXO-700 and purchased it from Sportbike Track Gear today.
  21. Rode to work last night and back home this chilly morning. What a rush!
