  1. Why weigh down YOUR adventure by involving the ideas of others. You have the days and the mileage you want to cover in those days. Pick your destination within that mileage and GO! Enjoy and tell us all about it when you get back. Don't forget the camera. The Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Turn of the Throttle! It’s what Lao Tzu meant to say.
  2. Maybe next week. I go back to work tonight.
  3. Recently purchased a few games. Don't consider myself a gamer, but I have had some fun with following titles; FEAR The Bourne Conspiracy Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare I've never gone online, but I'd try it. Screen Name = BigGreenValley
  4. I may join you. I don't work Tuesday night, I just need to be sure there's nothing I need to do on Wednesday.
  5. I do at least one 1000+ mile trip every year. Just finished 2,404 mile trip at the end of June around Lake Erie and Lake Michigan. IBA #27959
  6. I enjoy taking my camping gear on long trips too. I finished a 2,400+ mile trip a few weeks ago around Lake Erie and Lake Michigan. I use a set of Rok Straps to hold my camp gear down. These should work real well on a sport bike. 7. I'm a member and have yet to find a good opportunity to attend a mission. A little difficult with my work schedule and that most of their missions are sent with short notice. Still waiting to get in on one.
  8. I don't have a clue what you just accomplished, but if you're happy then I'm happy for you! Congratulations!
  9. Our boys are hangin' in there pretty good!

  10. Sorry I didn't get back to you on the Monte Carlo Night. I was on vacation.

  12. Good seeing you again Dave. I need to free up some time so I can get out and ride some more with you guys.

  13. Bumping this again as it's getting close. I just got back from riding around Lake Erie and finalizing the route. Also, this Saturday, June 13 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm is the groundbreaking ceremony at the Flying Horse Farms camp site. Come out and take a tour of proposed camp site. Refreshments will be served. Meet at AD Farrow at 1:00 pm. Ride out to site in Mt. Gilead at 1:30.
  14. I like the message it sends. I must be very fortunate. I have two teenage daughters and they are great young ladies! The stuff they do that does bug me is all insignificant as compared to some of the hellions I see out there. I won't make them out to be saints because they have tried to test their independance against my wife and I.
  15. Police Officers still do that. I spent four and a half hours on Sunday night tracking down a missing twelve year old. Believe me, I could not spend eight hours of my shift purely working traffic enforcement.
  16. I am a cop and am very proud of my profession and the manner in which I perform my duties. I'm quite used to having my judgment questioned by many who believe they know my job better than I. If I am found to be incorrect in my application of the law or in the manner in which I perform my duties, I do want to know that. It only makes me a better and more informed Police Officer. There is a process to challenge whether I have applied the law and performed my duty properly. I encourage anyone to stand by their convictions and challenge the citation in court. That is your right and obligation if you truly believe you have been wronged by Law Enforcement. I don't take your comment personally.
  17. I agree with you to a certain degree. When it pertains to speed limits I have stopped and issued more written warnings than citations. I have some tolerance for those who go over the speed limit, but not for those who speed excessively. If the general flow of traffic is traveling at a rate of speed in excess of the speed limit, but flowing smoothly, who should I stop? I realize that life is not black and white. (No pun intended) There are many shades of gray. Remember that it is my job to enforce the law. I do my best to be fair and enforce the law equally and as equitably as possible.
