  1. Question for the experts here.

Assuming a person has their CHL, I have a question regarding

carrying fully concealed vs open, and partially concealed I guess.

If you are open carrying, does the weapon need to remain 100% in full

view at all times? What I mean is say you are wearing a side hip holster

on your belt and normally it is completely exposed and visible. Now wearing

the same holster you throw a jacket on which conceals it for the most part,

unless the jacket is unzipped and someone can see it as you move around.

Is that permissible? Or does it need to be 100% concealed?

Also, I have a IWB holster that actually fits nicely clipped in my front

pocket but when the gun is put in it it is not fully in the pocket, but the

top and handle are visible. This is kinda like a mix of concealed and open

since its partially concealed but visible. Is it legal to carry like that??

Pardon the probably dumb questions but I'm trying to find the most

comfortable way to carry so I'm experimenting with different ways.

  2. The guy was hugging the right white line, not sure why he was doing that.

That usually invites unwanted cars in your lane when they either don't see

you or think they can squeeze in.

But I agree, not arguing with a (already upset) cop is probably the best bet.

  3. I'm pretty certain we know what it's called. The point it happened on that slight bend in the road raises issue of lack of competence of the rider. Target fixation or not there is no reason to blow that tiny "curve"

Camera video does not always do a curve justice. The wide angle lens of

most cameras tends to make a curve look less on video than they really are.

Not necessarily that this was the case here, just saying in general.

  4. wtf? He didn't even try to make that turn...

    IKR

Don't know if he was going too fast - the speedo on the VFR reads 54 at the point of the crash - I think the approaching car might have freaked him out. I remember early on feeling that way when a car would approach in mid-corner.

Yeah, that can freak you out sometimes, especially if the car is a cop lol

  5. Gander has HKS speed loaders for $14.95. Saw them this morning.

See part of the problem was I didn't know what I needed, now that I know what the brand/model

is I can look for it locally, but I have two orders out there with two different companies now so

gotta wait and see who's gonna come thru for me :o
