the last time i was looking over the STT schedule for may, it was there, but you had to call to sign up. maybe it's not there anymore? maybe i was smoking some good shit. nobody knows

we did 30 min sessions at grattan during this past sunday, and it was fantastic. it's just the right amount of track time, imo.

trackday report met up with blue, and we got into grattan after 10~11pm. they did not let us in, but i think if you get there on late sat maybe they'll let you in? just not on friday, unless MX track is running. doesn't make any sense. weather wise, both sat and sun was wet in the morning, and dry by lunch. so we lost 2 sessions, though i ended up riding on sat morning because i wanted to ride slow and remember what the track was like (this was my first trackday of the year, and 2nd year on track). during the afternoon sessions, it was as good as it gets. interestingly enough, as soon as the rain stopped, the crashes started. in all groups. happily, i did not fall. managed to cut a couple seconds from my best time last year, so I was pretty happy. as usual, STT staff (including blue) were awesome and accomodating. I got towed around by a minimum of 3 staffers and given 1 on 1 instruction. Grattan is an awesome track... as they say, "if you can ride at grattan, you can ride anywhere" oh, apparently, Taylor Knapp was there? I dunno.

i know you're saying it is simply illegal, but if you're also trying to push the point that a moving violation should be stopped by a well meaning citizen via felony.... isn't there a law against a "citizen's arrest" for anything that is not a felony? there is a law in ohio that says other than 2 motorcycles riding aboob, 2 vehicles may not share a lane (or something like that) but doing that is not a felony. It MAY be a misdemeanor. as a lawyer in training and as a reasonable person, does what you're saying make sense? that a person should stop another person from committing a moving violation by murdering them? maybe manslaughter if they were REALLLLLY upset? and if you're going to go down on fellow bikers for being a little irate at someone opening a door on a moving biker or bicyclist even (cause they would also fit in your description of people who need to be stopped for doing something illegal) at ANY speed for lane splitting, who wouldn't you go down on? heh heh
