  1. Let insurance claim it, buy it back, fix it, ride it and use the rest of the money for a new bike that you want that's more upright. sv650 would be perfect for what you were looking for. You can get one dirt cheap with the money you have left over from buying your bike back.
  2. 5k miles since August of 09. Yeah, I'm a noob.
  3. Got off work for this but with it being Cinco De Mayo I'll be eating at QSL and going to get my drank on after.
  4. They went from that tiny little shop to grocery store to a K-Mart Superstore. Still wish I lived within walking distance but a 20 min drive isn't bad. Epitome of an American business.
  5. Now you have more bikes to look at. You still have a pile of cash to spend on the bike, just not the one you wanted. Have you looked at other 600cc bikes? Stuck on the Hondas? Lots of options and lots of bikes out there. Asking prices don't mean anything with the way the economy is.
  6. Then I'll be stuck playing catch up the whole time.
  7. I didn't know there was S.R. 256 and just a road called 256. I was a little late to say the least. Great ride today. We must do this again. Next Friday, maybe leave a little earlier?
  8. Nice to meet all of you. Hope 1000rr guy is okay. Guy on the zx6r, did that cop let you go?
  9. I've done it on E. Broad when I didn't realize morning rush hour was so bad going West and I was on my way to court. If anything I'm helping the flow of traffic.
  10. When you plan on returning home? I have work at 5...
  11. I try and pack my lunch but it's a time conflict for me. School, then straight to work, then off work and to my other job. If I wake up soon enough I'll make lunch, which really turns into a feast considering I'm not home between 7 am and 10pm.

Seeing as I'm new to it I've only ridden with people better than me...

Let's say I'm a maybe. Nothing intended by my comment. I just hear you all know how to ride is all I was getting at and I've only been on a few twisty roads.

I hear you Coshocton people are not the best to ride with as far as being a noob is concerned. Just heard you all have some skills.

I was planning on Hocking if the weather is clear. I'm a noob to the twisties so I'll be in the back if you don't mind at least one more tagging along. I know I was speaking with one or two others about a ride there as well so they would probably join in...
  16. If you go with the SV you'll be needing to do a front end swap and rear end swap for the suspension.
  17. It depends on what you use your bike for really. I just ordered my BMC and they make very high quality filters that give performance in any weather conditions. I'm waiting for it in the mail and have only used the stock filter on my SV up to this point so I can't really say how much better it is. I was just recommended to the BMC from the guy that tuned my bike. Everywhere I read on the K&N vs BMC subject the consensus was BMC 99% of the time. If you just use your bike on the street and don't want to spend the extra money the K&N will be enough but I just spent the extra few dollars and went with BMC.
  18. I've got my "M" already. Just need the 10% insurance cut.
  19. I have my MSF on the 21-23 I believe. Best believe I plan on using their bike for it and I will be riding my own up there. Sooo, does anyone wear leather at the MSF course? I'll show up in gear and get looked at alllll day long I'm thinking.
  20. You go to OSUN at the moment? I see squidlys riding around there daily.
  21. I would just use their bike. That's what I was planning on doing all along. No fear of dropping it at all. If you do, oh well.
  22. Any input on going with the ss5000, 6000 and 7000. 220 a pair is ideal for me. What type of receiver will I need. My buddy got an Onkyo for 80 dollars used around here and that's the route I'm looking to take.
  23. No I don't have the receiver. Money truly isn't a concern, but I prefer not to spend 500 dollars plus on a set up. Again, I have 30 dollar computer speakers right now so I'm just looking for something that puts out some good treble and bass and can handle some louder volume. I don't need the macdaddy floor speakers on the market. If I found some Polks or Klipschs for a good deal I'd gladly scoop them up. I'm looking at getting an Onkyo receiver.
