  1. 9am sounds good. I believe there's just a Shell at Whipp and Far Hills. The BP is back up at Stroop and Far Hills.

    Sorry, I meant Shell.  Four-OH-too, six-3-oh, 9-two-6-zeven

New tires scrubbed in/pressure adjusted.  Suspension adjusted.  Heated vest swapped over.  Gassed up.  I'M READY!!!!

  2. 3 years before I am eligible for a pension.  It would cover most expenses if we lived in a tiny house with no bills, in a cheap part of the country.  It is very appealing.

Unfortunately, my wife does not want to live the "simple life"

Ultimately I will try to stay in the military as long as possible, to build up the pension.

  3. What did you get?

DRIIs.  Put about 30 miles on before DUSK had me spooked.  They are better than I could have imagined.  Smooth, gradual, consistent.  I will really get to enjoy them this Sunday.

I also had to change the 10A fuse for my blinkers today.  I think I got a little happy with hosing her down last week.

  4. Looks like a solid start, Bubba!

If anyone needs to meet anywhere around Dayton, or thereabouts,....let us know. Chad, I will prolly just meet you at the start point.

**this McDonalds place you speak of, does not have very good reviews**

  5. Ride more miles! Make muscle memory.  The bike can do it, you can do it.  These apprehensions are all in your head.  The problem is the nut in the middle of the bars(yoke).

You sound like you are taking responsibility for your mistakes and learning.  Better than most riders, right there.

+1 on Twist of the wrist/Keith Code

  6. I know logistics including the extra 35-40 miles roll from Dayton in the morning and evening are hard to overcome, but I'd be up for volunteering to put together a route of 150-200 miles of NKY goodness if you wanna head south from Dayton.  Could do fewer miles, but you'll miss out on some of the classic roads.  Lemeno by Friday if there's enough interest--also presumes the weather is gonna cooperate--and I'll dig thru some of my old LocalRiders routes and post up a map.  Technically, I guess Cincinnati is REALLY part of northern KY anyway…. :D

I would love a NKY trip!
