What type of gloves were you wearing? Makes a huge difference in keeping water out of the end of your sleeves and blowing up your sleeve. Long gauntlet style waterproof gloves might help. Are there vents in the sleeves? If you do have vents is the wind flap closed right?

I was hitting golf balls anywhere from 25-100 with out touching my scope on my last range trip.

I would do the savage with either the .17 or the .22 great gun for the money. The range on a 17 is good for about 200-300 yrds. They don't even drop till after a 100 yards like a laser beam from 25-150 yards.

Like I said he posted he has a sig 22lr to eat cheap bulk ammo. If he is looking for a bolt gun that is gonna be more accurate for slower paced target shooting that a .17 is better then a .22lr you guys and your 22lr gheesh. And as far as cleaning the hmr i have gone to the range and shot over 100 rounds and saw no loss in accuracy. When I got home I cleaned it with a rod and brush the with cotton patch and it was not dirty at all? Thats a big step up from your shadow in power and less weight. They are good bikes and I like the older ones better then the new ugly ass ones they make now. When both bikes were new the r1 was sticker priced well over the shadow. I am not up on the resale value of either bike. check ebay-craigslist to see what similar bikes are selling for the deal seems pretty fair to me as long as his bike is ligit?

50 minimags for .22lr is $8, 50 rounds of cci standard for .17hmr is $11. It will take twice as many shots to hit a target past 75 yrds with a .22 so the .17 is cheaper to shoot right? Just kidding the .22lr is a good round for plinking (but the .17 is better).

Try a buell m2 cyclone screen. I had one on a bandit I turned into a naked model.
