  5. Yeah mag burns when wet! ever seen a mag fire when hit with water!BOOM We use to do a controled burn for our fire safety class at work and they use to hit the burning mag with a little water to show what happens. Was always funny to have a new guy in class that never saw it before they always jumped. Don't need a fork and spoon just use your fingers LOL!
  6. Well the weather held all day was sunny for a bit here and there. Kent from c.o.r.e. showed up and so did Jbctown. We roads down 212 to 93s, 93 is real dirty and kinda getting rough. Lots of gravel and run off water from the rains. We took 93 down to 83s this is in good shape and pretty clean for the most part. Only a few spots of dirt and that was from the 4x4 guys coming back on the roads I think. The public recreation area was nice and clean with well kept roads. We took 83 down to 78 stopped outside Caldwell for some food and a break. Kent went back west from there and jbc and me went up 258 for a bit nice road then picked up 147n a bit of traffic but was still a ok road. We picked up rt800 in Barnesville and ran that back up north to 250. Way to much traffic on 800 to have any fun, to bad I love that road. Went up 250 to 77n and home. All said about 330 miles and no rain, was a good ride after a cold grey start.
  7. 5th gen vfr 800, and I don't know why but I have always liked the cbr954rr in the ti and black color.

Same here Recon I have lost about 7 pounds since it has gotten warm out. My work is real hot this time of year and it makes me feel sick if I eat much at all. So it is a fiberone bar for lunch and maybe a small snack sometime after lunch. Lots of water and powerade. Have cut way back on the Dew which is lots less calories also. Like you said I also dragged out my peddle bike a few times and rode for about 6 miles to get started back for summer.
  9. The magnesium we have at work takes a torch to light? and that is around a 100mesh powder much finer then the shaving would be? But when it light yeah that stuff would light wet wood on fire real quick. When it is on fire it will burn about anything lol!
  10. Well it stopped raining here still real cloudy but it is early still. Looked at the radar and it lookes like it is gonna clear up and no rain behind what is moving out.
  11. Sweet If the weather holds I will see ya at the dq then.
  12. Your list is flawed!! not a word about EXTRA ammo or a spare gun? you need more then one come on!
  13. So who is gonna try to make it out for the ride? Id the weather holds out. It is nice right now and they said rain for today also! So if the weather holds out here is what we have. Meet time will be 10:00am at the bolivar D.Q. right off I77 on rt 212. Believe it is exit 193? Ride out by 10:30ish maybe before if no one else is showing. same route as on first post. Wear your gear, what ever you have but, helmet, jacket, gloves, boots of some kind would be proper. So far looks like: Cleve? Knightrider? Hailwood Inya? rslocum Jbctown speedytriple
  14. From the 5 times I have been there here is what i would suggest. Stay in robbinsville they have a new microtel there that is pretty cheap. we also stayed at the sanran right next door older but very bike freindly let us pull the bikes into the rooms during a hell of a storm. There is also the phillips motel never stayed but people we went with did and said it was nice. cheap food is the pizza place lunch buffet. Close beer is to the north in Alcoa Tenn. They have a sign that says last beer sold before dry Co. at the station we got ours from LOL! As for the roads what everyone else said, 129 is cool so is the skyway and 28 is a must. We have also stayed in north Ga. before and road up from there. About a hour ride and the roads getting there are as good as the dragon. And I would do it on a weekday also much less traffic and leos.
  15. Like throwing a hotdog down a hall way! The shark was pretty cool also. the rings are kinda hard to make out maybe the color or something?
  16. Hey Tom stfu LOL! I get to ride once or twice a year without to much hassle. Jbc yeah I am in berea. more like olmsted twp. I could meet up with ya if the weather holds for the ride.
  17. you could go to Isaacs papa He does a good job he just did my last set of tires for me. he is a bit south of ya but not to far away.
  18. Right now looks like a 40-50% chance of rain? will see what it looks like in a few days. If I wake up on sunday and it is dry I am riding!
  19. I started with a m&p 9mm them went the wrong way with a taurus them moved to the springfields. I liked it so much I have 2 now.
  20. More like 60/40 geter' done!
  21. 600 miles sound about right? Come on Bad we could ride out from the west side together.
  22. The other IP offers conti tires for about the same. (I. Papa)
  23. So Iam 1/9th hillbilly then. I have 2 springfields, 2 rems, 1 ruger, 1 browning, 2 rossi, and a old ass .22 revolver that I am not sure what it is. Dont worry you will add more to the collection then just the high point.
  24. I use to love the metzler roadtec z6 tires. stick like a sport tire but I use to get around 7000-8000 out of them. and they are one of the best rain tires I have ever ridden on.
  25. Anyone thinking about going? saw it in a local paper it is a amatuer event. Price seems kinda high though $25 per ticket. Just a feeler to see if anyone heard anything about it.
