I have a Rem 597 22lr good gun for the money it has a weaker aftermarket for sure but there is still stuff out there for it. I liked the size of it over the 10/22 better. A bit bigger then a 10/22 almost the size of a rem model 700. And they are cheaper to boot. 10/22 is a good gun I have shot one before, but it is kinda small.

Was gonna have everyone over my house for a cookout on sunday. BUT, my kids ended up coming down with chicken poxs. And my dad has never had them before, weird since Both me and my brother had them as kids. So I will most likely not see my dad this year for fathers day.
