I bagged a few of these sunday and had a nice little stew at deer camp. Shotguns work but it sucks picking the shot out of the meat. Why i like a .22 for a head shot.

Heck im good for food as long as i have my .22 in my bag with my small skinning knife.

I try to keep two 5 gal cans of gas in the garage at all times. That is good for at least 200-300 miles from my place. Should be good to get away from the city.

And one of them was a 11 y/o kid LOL! I have redone my bag a few times when I got better gear. I prefer to carry a water filter system as to carry lots of bottled water. Where I plan to head has plenty of moving water to filter even in summer. I have switched over to mostly dried foods as well due to weight savings. I did a 40 min walk with my old bag and about died due to it weight. It use to weigh almost 50#, with the changes I made it now weighs around 35#. Much better to try to hike with if you end up on foot.

^ this is what's in mine for the most part. I went with a water bottle and a filtration system that is good for 5000 gals of clean water. I have my sog tomahawk and a hand saw. dried food for almost a week. shelter making provisions, 100 ft of 550 para cord, mess kit, meds for a week, first aide kit, and at least three ways to start fire, some clothes... and some other stuff. LOL!

Yep I made my own. contents consist of what I think I need for 72 hours+.

It was a cable lock the ones you use on a bike not easy to cut through. Thats why they cut the small tree was easier then cutting the chain.
