  1. It's 2010.....i can't tell u the last time i picked up the phone to call someone. If it's not on the internet it doesn't exist. Thanks for all the insight. We will probably be going down tuesday and i will let u all know how it goes. Gonna be taking my 16 and my 13 year old.
  2. Did u watch the ama races last night. there was probably about a dozen in the daytona class. To the op glad your ok. I still haven't had a chance to come to mid-o yet to get instruction from u.
  3. I don't keep guns in the house cuz I have younger children as well. I looked at there website but it doesn't say what weapons are available to rent. I would much rather me teach him propper use then to learn the way I did and end up with a black eye and your buddies laughing at u cuz they give me a huge gun to shot and didn't explain the recoil.
  4. For his 16th birthday my son asked if I would let him shoot. I think it's a great time to teach him about gun safety and the correct way to use a firearm. I plan on taking him to Ohio valley outdoors indoor shooting range and was wondering if anyone is familiar with the available guns they have for rent and what guns are more "child friendly" aka less recoil. Thanks
  5. I had a problem with racoons in my trash. My kids would go to take it out and those beady eyed fuckers would be nearby so I got a can of cat food and mixed in som d-con or whatever that poison shit is. Never saw them again. It's a double winner cuz it eats then goes back to it's house to die 99% of the time not leaving u to clean up the mess or the smell.
  6. i put a set of long tube headers and an exhaust on one of these with the same mods. sounded sick. I love this one to.

  8. took the wife to the melting pot at easton for a "just because" romantic date and it was great especially if your looking for something a little different. I dropped $120 or so including tip and a few drinks if u need a price reference but that was for the big night out or whatever they called it. 4 courses
  9. what i used to set mine up. He has a ton of videos and the website is very good reading http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9yQylk1heI&feature=related
  10. Recharging the a/c 99% of the time in a car will get it working again. The question is for how long. That depends on the size of your leak. Recharge it, put dye in it, and go from there. Most shops charge by the ounce for a recharge so depending on the type of car and how much refrigerant it takes will determine cost. There should be a sticker under the hood with your a/c info on it that way u can get a better answer if u decide to call around.
  11. What do u intend on doing with the bike? Strictly street, occasional trackday?

    Car tires

I work at the mr tire in pickerington. I can see what the best deal we can give u. It really all depends on the quality/type of tire u want.
  13. find out what they did to determine it was actualy a head gasket before u do anything. The funky looking gunk in the dipstick tube is very common on anything that has a large opening/tube to add oil. If thats why they say the hg is blown there retarded. Jporter has given pretty solid advice so far. My question is have u driven it since they did the w/p and hoses? Is it still overheating?
  14. I'm a automotive mechanic to. U dont have to worry about the timing on that motor as it's not over head cam. Everything timing related is in the block. The only advice that hasn't been mentioned is to spray the exhaust manifold bolts with pb blaster or some other penetrating oil. Everything else should pretty much be easy. As far as the a/c compressor job that sounds about average at most chain stores. Most places charge for the evac and recharge, oil,dye and receiver/drier anytime the system is opened.
  15. Oh man I can't wait til mid-ohio
  16. That place is awesome. Only bad part about it is on the weekends it gets packed. last time i took the fam it was a 3 hour wait to bowl. we just played games and left.
  17. I'm going as long as financialy able. Gonna try and wait it out to see what the weather is supposed to be like cuz I've heard nothing but bad things about that track in the rain. If I go my trailer is set up for two bikes. I've had my 600rr and a buddies 250. Was a tight fit but it worked.
  18. sorry biker. someone just came from cl and picked up everything. Its all sold.
  19. it's really no more expensive than any other hobby. Once the initial cost is out of the way it's really not that bad. Compare it to....say photography. People spend 1,000's on cameras, flashes, and everything else. It really depends on what your into and how much effort your willing to put into bargain hunting.
  20. I did my first day this past Sunday and am hooked. Already signing up for mid Ohio in July and putnam with nesba in august. As far as cost its not really bad as a novice if u shop around. I bought used leathers, used harbor freight trailer that I puta new floor in and I pull it with a 95 Dakota (with a 318) I pretty much traded my car for. Unless your hardcore using super soft tires a set of pp 2ct may last u a season depending how many days u do. Your average trackday cost just a little bit more than your average speeding ticket but is 100 times more safe. I honestly have less than 1grand wrapped up in everything......but now I want race plastics and other things so the cost is gonna go up. Lol
