  1. I agree with pulling the lower unit. Probably drain the gear oil first and see what that looks like(i.e. Milkshake no good). Not to familiar with volvo but on a mercury the drain bolt is behind the propeller. If the internals were fine not sure if a skilled welder could repair that or not.
  2. We trailer ours but if we kept it somewhere like mentor lagoons it probably already be in the water. We've trailered for about 5 years now (4 in NY and 1 in OH) and it is getting old.
  3. Today's weather is f-in awesome. Was at headlands beach today on Lake Erie and saw all the boats out and was envious. I'm getting my boat out of storage next weekend.
  4. Maybe I'll have a couple more than three beers next time and it might help.
  5. Then where the hell do I fit in? All it is going to take is practice to get my confidence level up. After last years crash I just think about stuff too much and it causes me to be stiffin up on the bars and not getting my ass off the seat enough.
  6. That might have been the motivation I needed. Maybe next time. I plan on doing a STT Gingerman sometime this year.
  7. No problem. I had fun. Needs lot of practice/trackdays to be as fast as all you other ballers.
  8. I might of heard ya but I had ear plugs in. Sorry.
  9. I don't shake my head but I usually talk to myself. "Lean the bike over next time you f-in pussy!!!"
  10. No problem. Jinu was the one working the camera. He did good.

  11. Had a great time and it was good to see a bunch of OHIOriders out there. My first track day was a humbling experience but definitely learned some things. I look forward to doing a few more this year. Glad everyone had fun. I myself was beat after that day. I was up at 4:30 that morning anxious to get started, a full track day, 5.5hr drive home, and finally after a well needed shower I hit the pillow at 3am. Got some pretty decent pics of Skrewloose,R1Crusher,RVTPilot,termn8tor, and blue03636 on my camera. PM me an e-mail address and i'll get them out to ya.
  12. I guess If I mentioned I was bringing a grill earlier all this misunderstood jerking would of been much clearer. I'd hate to admit it though but my grill is circular.
  13. How come a bunch of guys wearing leather and head protection always have to turn into a "brokeback" joke:).
  14. I couldn't help myself but probably true. Just in case I loaded my studded tires. It might snow.
  15. So far weather is looking awesome. Don't turn around and f-us mother mature.
  16. I'm just the driver riding along. No pivoting over here.
  17. I'm Rob. Nice to meet you Craig. See you Saturday.
  18. Possibly. I think I only know three out of the 4. Jbot and screwloose. If you are the owner of said trailer than that's sweet.
  19. We are a heading out noonish from the mentor area. 4 bikes in an enclosed trailer an one duramax diesel. Hope to be up there around 6.
  20. I engineer also and worked for a chemical additive company testing gear oil. A friend of mine still works there and swears by rotella t. He uses it in his 65' mustang drag car. Diesel spec oils go thru more stringent certifying tests than "gasoline oils" before they can hit the market. I only change my oil once a year using repsol full synthetic but now that rotella has a JASO spec I might look into it because my only concern was the wet clutch. The worry is some oils have a lot if friction modifiers which isn't the best for wet clutches.
  21. I'd be interested in reading up on this research about the fried ecm's. Can you point me in the right direction? All the research I did before getting the bazazz I never ran across it frying ecm's. It would be kind of weird of a device that just intercepts outputs from the ecm and changing those to input those to the injectors frying a ecm when it isn't feeding it any output.
