Yeah I'm not to keen on advertising my speed limit. If I video from that location I'll cover the speed with tape. I'm going to have to get creative to mount it out in front below the headlight. There isn't a flat or curved surface anywhere where the adhesive mounts will stick to truely.
The suction mount does seem real solid. You have any reservations about mounting it on the side fairing? It probably have to get hit by something to knock it off. I might try it out. The case seems pretty solid so if it does fall off the camera might be fine. I'd just have to track it down like a lost hubcap.
Just a little boring test run in the neighborhood. Give me your thoughts on the mount location. Seem to do fairly decent filming through the visor. I used the suction cup mount for this and it seems pretty solid. I think I'd be a little leery suction cup mounting it off of a side fairing. It could also easily mount on the rear cowl for that Moto GP view. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8PmRMKXh4Q
Have a heavy duty pickup that can tow well over 12000lbs. Weight isn't the factor with 3 bikes it is the tongue weight. I'll be hanging 600 lbs. off the tongue with my hitch carrier but through their calculations I can safely tow another 2500lbs or so piggy backed off the carrier. This is the carrier I have http://www.versahaul.com/vhsportro.php. As you can see it pretty much extends the receiver and I can pull another trailer behind it.
You buy that 3 bike trailer yet:)? If you're signed up for gingerman I'll pull the trailer. Even if you get a single trailer I'm pretty sure I can actually hook a small trailer off of my hitch carrier. If you want that is or you have any time constraints on that Saturday. I'll probably try to get up there around 2ish +/- whatever i'm feeling.
I finally got around to editing the video from last June. Thats what you do when its snowing like a beeatch, bored, and hoping for some spring fuckin sanity.
I'm interested also. Maybe someone start up a new thread with all the details. Number to call for registration, time, date, place,... This will be my first track day and I'm excited already.
I put the carbone street pads on last year and definitely had a better feel over the stockers. I guess it depends on how much your goin to street the yellow beast. I think this is a STG review. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDxfALXgSXs&feature=youtube_gdata
