I already reserved the day for riding. I'm game for whatever. By the way I'll be riding my same OLD cbr. Damn you bastages with new rides . Keep us posted.
Jbot- How many frickin bikes do you have? Looks like you just added a buell to the collection. Man I need your job. I wouldn't mind just cruising around Sunday. I could meet you in mennnner around 11:30ish and go from there.
Looks like the forecast went from nice to shit overnight for Saturday. Sunday looks like the only option so far. Still might be able to do something just have to see how the weekend plays out.
wow that's crazy. I'm pretty sure if trailering under my insurance if it is attached to the vehicle it is covered under my vehicle insurance. If something happens in the water it is covered under my boat insurance. I'd assume one or the other insurance would cover the damage assuming the bikes were insured.
I usually pretend it's not back there. This is pulling a 24' 6000# boat and trailer. I find if you over checking your rearview mirror or what not you'll drift either left or right.
just to clarify it's more of a meander than actually riding. I like to just cruise through some trails and sometimes just sit out in the middle of no where drinking a couple beers and listening to nature. Sometimes i need a break from it all and its relaxing.
Jbot- is that a 4 stroke? My buddy keeps his kx250 2 stroke at my house and I ride it back in the woods sometimes. That thing is like a light switch. Little power too holyshit hang on tight. I also hate kick starting. I some times get more tired from stalling and starting the damn thing. If the trails behind my house are dry it is fun but when it's wet it's not too fun on the dirt bike because it is pretty rutted from 4 wheelers. When it is wet taking my 4 wheeler back there is a blast. It is a frickin tank and it is also easier to drink beer and trail ride vs. a dirt bike:). Glad you are having fun.
On their website it says this weekend was done in appreciation for their members. So asking the dumb question is that solely for ones that have attended one of their trackdays before? Or can first timers get in on this assuming it isn't full already?
TPoppa could you give me the route designations that we did on yesterdays ride for my future reference. 800,536,78,.... Thanks again for the nice tour.
Guys I'm still a go for this ride. If the weather is good up here i'll slab it but if not i'll hitch carrier my bike down to bolivar where the good weather is going to be. So I'm saying I'll be there at 9:30 or so.
There calling for 50% chance all day tomorrow in my neck of the woods. I'm going to have to make the call in the morning. Just post up in the morning if you guys are going to abort or what not. Forecast looks good for the south but not so good for the NE.
I'm game for whatever time if the weather is nice. 50 degrees and rain sucks. Not even my battery powered nut warmers help. If we do rte 250 we'll have to warn any new people about the infamous 180 degree switchback that bit me in the ass in June.
