Like mentioned, gears, catback, and a tune will be about the most you should need. also, look into pulleys, and i bet you could get a mustang throttle body and plenum setup to work, i believe the intake manifolds are close to the same. thing to remember, a full bolt on 99+ gt will only make around 300-315 at the wheels, and n/a 4.6 stangs usually run in the mid to high 12's, with around 1000 or so pounds less the your vic. i saw your budget of 1200, i'd say gears and a tune, and loose the cats, and fab up an exhaust.

glad you got your car back in one piece, just a heads up, i would get away from precision now. every one i know who's let those hacks do anything has wasted thousands on having their work redone, or done in the 1st place. I think i remember seeing someone on here with a cobra having issues with them doing his build, and i know of a certain red 93 z28 from newark had its ecu and n2o butchered, er, installed down there. but good numbers, hows it run cruising around?

thorne, if you really want to go the can-a-tuna route, you can drop a gs1100/1150 in there, and with minor supension work, a few motor parts, and good riding you can break into the 10's, or better lol. i built a 91 1100 katana, and i think i may still have some parts around, but yea, not all that fun to ride, and you'd be farther ahead to get a newer bike like everyone has said. its an expensive motor family to build, and fairly hard to find stock motor cases and parts anymore.

alternator belt needs replaced? 50k can or can not be alot, but yea from a guy saying the alt belt needs replaced, i'd laugh, alot, and then run away lol. Ever think of picking up a salvaged bike? nows a great time time to look through the salvage yards, and you can usually pick up 2000 and newer 600-1k that with a little work and ebay parts shopping, you can have a decent ride for a really good price.

I've been playing on and off for years, got started by accident lol. i played bass in a few hardcore and punk bands all through highschool, and ended up hanging out at another bands practice, during a break i jumped on the drums and started messing around and the guitarist played a few of their songs with me. i guess they thought i was better then the guy they had, because he went to vocals and i started drumming lol. Weird thing is i had never picked up a set of sticks in my life. But yea, i still play when i can, really miss playing shows and shit. Oh, and rockband needs to get an actual kit setup, and a double bass pedel, because its fucking goofy how its setup lol. But it's a great way to waste time and have some fun.
