Well, this trip (FL) is a family vacation deal. Australia will be for working on a project I've been on for the last 8 months, refreshing the network infrastructure and installing VoIP phone systems for our manufacturing facilities worldwide.

Disclaimer: My engine experience is limited to tearing down and rebuilding my carbs. I've never touched the actual engine block on anything I've ever owned, but have been around a few engine teardowns. I really can't see why it wouldn't be the head gasket. I really have no idea how a water channel in a block would crack into the cylinder, but once you take the head off it should be pretty apparent from the gasket if the channel is leaking in the cylinder. Tearing the bike down to the engine isn't the worse thing in the world to do on a bike, as long as you have some basic tools, metric ratchet set, few screwdrivers, so on.

6 months ago would be September. Night, I think you're painting with too broad of a brush. Buell isn't the problem here, it's people who think this is CL and can highball the shit out of their bikes. There are quite a few people on here (as I know you are aware) who are Buell/HD owners, especially during the fire-sale, and there's nothing wrong with that at all.

Indeed. Last year, you say? Let's just see all the things that have happened that would affect the sale price of a motorcycle from, say 6 months ago. Perhaps BUELL SHUTTING DOWN? Fire-selling all their bikes for half of their MSRP, effectively killing resale for the rest of the Buells out there? I bet the same guy who offered you 5K a year ago will offer 4000 now, seeing everything that has happened.. Take that and run.

good luck with the sale, but you aren't going to get far on here with that kind of attitude. Sure you have an emotional attachment to the bike, who doesn't, but that doesn't mean you have to be a dick about someone who isn't emotionally involved trying to show you where the market prices are.
