  4. Looks like Earache wants to fill in the last little corner of his map except for Louisiana. No one goes there, 'tis a silly place. This looks great, but unless I sink some serious cash into the RR I don't think it will work well for endurance rides. Hell, I could barely make it 150 miles in a day. Oh yeah, make sure you eat plenty of cheap lobsters while your there, I expect to see some pics of lobsters fighting on the VStrom seat.
  5. I can speak to this since I bought my RR in WV, which is a non-notary state. All you need is the properly signed over and filled out title. No muss, no fuss. I'm a huge fan of the RC51's. I remember sitting on Andre's earlier last year and loving the riding position.
  6. Nope, re-upped my temps a few times, but never got the M. Showing off is the least of my concerns, I just want to be able to pass the test and not drop the bike. From what I understand, it's not as easy as it looks on paper.
  7. It's going to be a little difficult (but not impossible) finding a sportbike for a grand, even if it is a 250. I'd start burning up leads quickly, as soon as the weather starts breaking back into riding season the prices are going to start going up in a hurry.
  8. Looking forward to riding with you, and welcome!

    Walther P22

I'll be willing to trade my numbers-matching M91/30 Mosin-Nagant rifle, my non-numbers matching M44 Mosin rifle, my Hipoint 9mm (please hold your laughter, it was my first pistol), plus $50 cash. My old roomie had a P22, I absolutely loved the way it held.
  10. No worries. I started out for a LOT less which is why I said that 36K wasn't that terrible. I also started without a degree, which somewhat justified the peanuts I earned in the beginning of my career.
  11. Well, I haven't been on the software side, so I don't have a good frame of reference for starting salaries. Either way, for someone who wants a career change (or their break into IT), it's not a bad in.
  12. You entry level IT guys that are leaning more towards the software side of things, jump your ass all over this. 36K isn't terrible for this market, and with the university you'll probably get your hands on a lot more than is listed on here, tons of experience.
  13. I'm going to try to hitch a ride with the peeps going on Sat, I wouldn't be opposed to cracking a few kneecaps to sell some raffle tix.
  14. happy birthday girlfriend! *snaps fingers in Z formation*
  15. when you going to get rid of the chicken strips?
  16. it's so fucking cold in Iowa, I might as well be there now. It actually hit 24 today, I was debating whether or not to bust out the shorts and t-shirt.
  17. That's what's so incredible to me personally, that suddenly everyone can be rallying around the charity of Yele Haiti when it's been all but PROVEN that Wyclef's using the charity as his personal slush fund.

+1 on the brake stuff, looks like it all worked out. I HIGHLY recommend picking up some speedbleeders at IP, they are about 15 bucks or so for a pair but it takes all the guesswork out of bleeding the brake system.
  19. And there you have it. I made my position pretty clear in the original Haiti thread, but as much sympathy as I have for the people there I have just as much cynicism for the government. Unfortunately, that cynicism has been proven by decades of history.
  20. in firefox, getting a lot of 's with the descriptions. It's not all the time, but easily 90%.
  21. I'll take one. Murder that sucker out, then ride it wearing only this helmet:
  22. Political leanings have nothing to do with this. He was detained unlawfully without probable cause for doing absolutely nothing wrong. End of story.
  23. Apparently the cop didn't like movies about gladiators. I wonder if his name was Joey? Anyway, the cop's a douche. This guy's got an airtight case on the tinted lenses/full face helmet argument alone. It's not about having eye protection (which he had), it's not about impaired vision (which is debatable), although those ARE valid arguments when it comes to anything vehicle related, none of those were cited in the actual stop. Russell Crowe is going to get off, and rightly so.
