  1. speaking of being a goofy bastard, I'm just going to leave this here... This was taken in early December at the Patio. To this day I have no idea how in the hell Yota got on stage, or even stranger how he managed to stay there for what seemed like forever. Truly a god amongst men. nothin' but love for ya yotes, someone had to get pics of this
  2. I will never forget stopping for gas at the Speedway next to Iron Pony with gsxr750girl and ross, some random guy was asking us about our bikes. Couple real general "I love me some sportbikes, dawg" statements, then the gem "y'all ever get into them 'busa's? I want to buy a bike and want to get me one of them..." Nevermind this dude was pushing 300 pounds, backwards hat with skull cap, the whole bit. I thought I was going to piss myself laughing.
  3. So explain to me again why we are actively allowing (and funding) Christian fundies to proselytize in active combat zones and allowing companies to put religious references on rifles where damn near 100% of the population's current religion can, will, and does use said preaching as a recruiting and propaganda tool? At the end of the day we're bickering about some stamping on some metal sights, but it's funny how perception can turn something as benign as that into something that could get someone killed; either a soldier killed by someone recruited by stories of that, or a local killed by his own people for just taking one of those Bible leaflets.
  4. Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm just as much if not more of a cynical asshole than the next guy, but I really can't wrap my head around someone taking a motocross visor and super-gluing it to their street helmet on purpose.
  5. I read this as "Collaborate" and "Listen".
  6. GSXR 750. Bike is custom painted and the lights, if memory serves, aren't terribly obvious. The mayor was a regular on katriders.com, he posted up some pics of it a few years ago.
  7. I'm sorry, did someone mention they had Klondike bars?
  8. pics or bullshit. I seriously can't believe that anyone is that stupid.
  9. With your HD and his gixxer, I'm surprised you find common ground anywhere. I would expect you to be at least a day and a half behind him. Welcome to the both of you.
  10. You have a point, I didn't cover labor/services/exportation. I didn't do this because you have to have a steady, sustainable method for feeding your own population before any of these other things can happen. Otherwise, your only export will be your own people. Call me a cynical bastard, but there's no fault in saying this is an unwinnable situation. The world is going to do what it always does, for the first few weeks it will be a dick-measuring contest to see who can commit the most funds and aid (then barely deliver if at all, see the Indonesian Tsunami), then people will lose interest, a small group of people fleece the donated funds (see the Wyclef Jean foundation, happening a little earlier than normal) the population gets what's left and a little extra help for reconstruction, then everything goes back to normal. Haiti will still be a third-world nation, it's government still be corrupt albeit richer, it won't follow up on any reforestation or environmental programs started by the aid and donations, as a result it's people will go back to being starving, another hurricane will roll along like it does every couple of years, and things will go right back to the way they were. I hate to be so pessimistic, but I also have a few decades of history to back me up.
  11. I agree with everything up to this point, and only within the microcosm of Haiti. The problem with Haiti is not only it's completely corrupt government, who has no problem siphoning off aid that was already flowing into the region, but the fact that you can't teach the Haitians how to sustain themselves by growing their own food because they've deforested the land so much that they've completely destroyed most of the topsoil. Every reforestation project has failed since people rely on wood and charcoal for heat. They will put up one tree, and 7 will fall down somewhere else. I think what we're going to see here is an example of too much, too soon. These people are getting absolutely inundated with money and foreigners that someone is going to cash in. Once all the fervor dies down, it's going to be business as usual. Corrupt government, deforested land, population either unable or unwilling to change and adapt, and now an active fault to deal with.
  12. But full leathers aren't exxxxxtreme! Every video has to one up the previous one! You really think rednecks and posers are going to buy stunt videos where everyone is dressed up like a power ranger?

  15. Well GPO's happen to be one of my specialties in my shop, with VBA/Windows Scripting being a modest second, still getting the feel for the functions. So I take it you've already solved your PC renaming problem, what else is up?
