  1. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful, hate me because I'm right.
  2. Nice ninja. First off: This phrase you keep using, I don't think it means what you think it means. Welfare is a handout. Actually, welfare is the DEFINITION of a handout. You the recipient get cash money for doing absolutely nothing. Let me make myself excruciatingly clear here, I am against government welfare. I'm sure I'm just as much a fan pf personal responsibility as you are, and programs like this just fuel the entitlement society and promptly need to go the fuck away. Medicare is not a handout, it's a benefit. These people paid into the system, now they are getting the benefits once they reach a certain age. Universal healthcare is not a handout, it's also a benefit as Medicare is. You being for one and against another is the height of cognitive dissonance.
  3. I would think that you would be happy about cutting Medicare and welfare. For someone who so vociferously opposes universal healthcare, why do you support not cutting welfare, the biggest handout of them all, and Medicare, basically taxpayer (you, remember?) subsidized healthcare for the elderly?
  4. Because everyone knew that Bush had the mose knee-jerk reactionary advisors around him. It's true that no one is going to mess with him, but what kind of foreign policy is that?
  5. We did. Chimpy McFlightsuit completely destroyed those gains and MORE in a little more than 3 years.
  6. Is unimpressed. Call him when they start doing Crazy Ivans.
  7. Agreed. It's really cool to ride in to QS&L in a long formation. I bet it makes the Harley MC guys jealous that we have a bigger group than them and don't have to wear the silly vests. Wunderground has 30% chance around game time. Hope it holds out.
  8. Wyatt Earp, man! /has both DVD's at home //along with 150 others ///loves slashies more
  9. someone remember to pick up katelyn!
  10. Good work if you can get it. First year teachers in Mt Gilead make 27k/yr.
  11. That's funny, I normally turn the sound off when someone has a segment on this birther bullshits.
  12. As long as you're willing to put in the work, no. I lasted 2.5 years in college before I flunked out. First freshman year, I went completely batshit crazy bananas trying out all this new-found "freedom" stuff. Failed out for a semester. Tried community college, not really for me. Second freshman year (started in spring semester), tried a little harder, needed to take a full ride of summer classes to stay up. I ended up coming .01 short of the cutoff for academic suspension, and my parents would not allow me to appeal. Had I appealed, I would have won due to the margin, but in retrospect I don't fault their decision one bit. I won't bore everyone with the details of the rest of this story, but to give the Cliffs notes I moved to where I knew the jobs were, got my ass out there to network, and through hard work, putting up with MASSIVE amounts of bullshit, and a little of knowing the right people, I make an respectable salary, enough to have 2 bikes in the garage and a house that I own.
  13. I gotta say, the man's got a point. The absolute ultimate in lawlessness on the planet right now is in Somalia. You can carve out your own little fiefdom right on the Horn of Africa, and as long as your ammunition and supplies hold out, you can live there for a long while. Completely self-sufficient, no government to tell you how to run your life, if you get recognized sovereignty by the UN you'll be able to purchase whatever you want tax free. I would recommend getting some others to join you, as it would only be a matter of time before you are horribly outnumbered by pro-gun forces. Of course, this would involve building some sort of rule framework within your hideaway, a government if you will. On second thought, you might want to make a separate sovereign sanctuary just for you. Hell, it worked for the Vatican for a couple hundred years.
  14. I am strangely comfortable with this idea. Please, elaborate using visual aids.
  15. I would really think you would be happy about this little facet, as it isn't that far from the status quo (which, by your arguments, you largely support with some peripheral changes like tort reform). Since you are clearly conservative minded, and believe in the conservation of wealth to the individual vs government, let me ask you which of these two scenarios you would rather have. 1: You go to the hospital after getting rear-ended by some asshole with no insurance who flees the scene. Your case ends up getting reviewed by the staff doctor (otherwise known as medical review, common for higher-dollar claims) who is paid by the insurance company, and who's corporate responsibiliy it is to make value to his shareholders by maximizing profits. For whatever reason, they initially deny your claim. The other guy has no insurance and you can't find him, so you are stuck with appealing your claim, AND the deductible if it's finally approved. You get better, and have a lighter wallet as a result. 2: You go to the hospital after getting rear-ended by some asshole with no insurance who flees the scene. Your case ends up getting reviewed by a panel of doctors who answer to the government, who's responsibility it is (for purposes of this scenario) to provide healthcare to Americans. You get better.
  16. That's what happens when you spend all that time and money in college learning Arabic, and some guy that speaks Farsi is pointing a AK-47 at your chest.
  17. As long as you do the regular scheduled maintenance, it should be good for at least 5-10 more years. I hear changing the coolant can be a problem sometimes, those suckers can get hot under load... I'm sorry, what were we talking about again?
  18. See, you guys aren't seeing the big picture here. Being a tourist in an active war zone is one of the best vacations money can buy, as long as you have the right guides. I see they went with the deluxe package and picked themselves up a "peace and conflict studies" guide (a quick Google turned up they teach that at Berkeley, go figure). I can't even finish this with a straight face. If they can't figure out they are in an active war zone, with a heavily armed populace who wants us out of there with a powerful will, and straddling the border of a country who had no problem recently killing a few hundred of its own citizens in a attempted revolt, they deserve what they get. Let's see how well the peace and conflict studies degree works in that environment.
