  1. Yep, it's going to move the power band lower, so instead of revving the tits off it to hit the 98HP you'll have it at a much lower RPM. As far as carb tuning goes, I'm a definite noob. Here's Factory Pro's site which has a good amount of useful information: http://www.factorypro.com/tech_tuning_procedures/tuning_carbtune,CV,high_rpm_engines.html As you can see, this is no small deal, especially when you are talking about ripping apart fairings and gas tank to do what is asked of you here. I had thought about this on my Kat and was going to go the FI swap route, but unless you wanted to be a trailblazer I don't see any posted write-ups on the major R6 forums.
  2. Out of curiosity, has anyone who lent money/bought food for djisle actually been paid? I know I've never been approached.
  3. Don't know him so I can't comment, although it would be nice to actually see a Kat finish this time around... Good to have you, look forward to meeting tomorrow morning.
  4. I've been reading about that on rideohio, sounds like an awesome trip. I'll be in NC for work for the next 2 weeks, afterwords I'll look you and mnor up and we'll go out.
  5. I only have a few left, I'm saving them for my bi-annual date.
  6. About time you came around... I'll have those LED's with me, I think they'll make a good addition to the 'Steed. After giving it some thought, I think I will end up repainting the plastics. I just had a few questions about some missing tabs on the front cowl and the ram scoop fitment issues that are bugging the crap out of me with this front cowl. No kidding, I'm really curious to see how many we have at IP tomorrow morning. I'm flattered that you guys would decorate for me, I just hope I don't biff laughing my ass off. Thanks. Again for anyone who missed it: the Columbus group is meeting at Iron Pony, kickstands up at 9AM. If for some reason I'm hung over and not there, EvilTwin knows where I live and you have my permission to park in my grass and rev as loud as you want until i get my ass up.
  7. I'll be there later on. Cycle Search was supposed to pick up my bike at 5:30 - 6, cancelled at 5:00 when I was already home, and rescheduled for 6:30. I'll make it when I make it.
  8. I wish I had bought this, just had to shell out 80 bucks to the DMV to get title transfer and my permanent tags. Not a good day.

Hell to the yeah. Anyone want to go in a group? I can't guarantee I'll put out, but I can guarantee some lulz will be had.
  11. I just looked at this, and there are about 5 curves on that road, all long. We'll see what your opinion is after you ride 79N/Coshocton.

    QSL tonight?

I wish I would have got some pics of that thing, it's just insane. Good meeting you yesterday!

    QSL tonight?

Damn, which one was Putty? Anyway, good seeing everyone as always. Luna, it was awesome meeting you and your equally awesome GF.
  14. No problem. This will be a first for a lot of people, and I don't want anyone else to have to go down to learn the lessons I did the first time out. I get goosebumps just thinking about that turn, this is going to be one hell of a ride.
  15. Where are there twisties by New Albany? The only road I can think of within local reach from you might be Central College by Sunbury, and that's got about 3-4 turns in it.
  16. It's all yours. I'm a little short on funds this time around, and the responsible (!) thing would be to pass on this for now.
  17. I'll tell you what I tell everyone else, it's what you feel comfortable in riding with. At the end of the day, I'm not your daddy, and it's not my skin. All I can say is this road, even for the pace we're running, is serious business. If I were you, I would try and find something to cover those knees if you do end up lowsiding, or even if you accidentally start knee-dragging.
  18. I may be there. I really want to try and run Newark 79N in the cage before the ride Saturday so I can get a feel for what I'm in for, and to try to put some of the fear to bed.

  21. True that. His KZ may look unassuming, but he's got some water bottle depth charges in there he only lets out on group rides. Seriously Tom, good on ya.
  22. If anyone knows, it's this man right hurr.
