Jesus, that sounds horrible. Bad gas tank seal, CRACKING FRAMES? Sounds like something I'd stay the hell away from.

There's no accounting for intelligence, especially when you're selling something that a portion of the population has convinced themselves they absolutely have to have. That being said, buying a carrier locked phone for over full price is just retarded.

I would post a link to the actual CL ad. The link you posted are there for you to privately manage your CL ad, not to be released to the general public.

I understand the up-front fee, but how much are recurring maintenance fees? What's the dimensions on the stand?

Something wrong with craigslist?

You have a valid point. Still doesn't excuse the repeated near-misses.

chains have a grease fitting? Since when? I would clean and re-oil the chain, couldn't hurt to get all that shit off that might start to corrode the chain through the winter months.

You're interviewing directly with the DoD. The janitor could probably kick your ass. The mere fact that you're asking that question reveals your weakness, and when the guy from DSS reads this post in doing character research it's going to take a lot more than a spirited arm-wrestling match to keep that job. Here's a tip for when the DSS comes knocking: make sure you sweep the leg.
-
Once you walk into the room, give the firmest handshake you can muster to the interviewer. The moment you sit down, thrust your right elbow on the desk like you're trying to break it in half, and wait for the ensuing arm-wrestle match to come. It's important to assert your dominance early. Take a Cisco console cable with you and wrap your forearms together, this shows that not only are you willing to stay close to your boss, but it also demonstrates that you have your own set of networking tools and you understand how to use them.

Make sure you read up on all the street scams in Shanghai before you go. I was hit up twice in the span of 50 yards with 2 different variations of the "Chinese Tea Ceremony" scam. Definitely hit up the Yu Market, that place is just bonkers. If you're anywhere near Hongqiao, hit up the Hongqiao Entertainment District and the copy shop (3 floors of reasonable quality knockoff goods) The Entertainment District has a couple of good Western bars, and you absolutely HAVE to go to Bubba's BBQ in Hongqiao. This Texas ex-pat opened it after he married and settled down in China. All his meat is smoked onsite, sauces made onsite and it's AWESOME. Do all the normal touristy stuff too (Oriental Pearl, World Financial Centre, the Bund, Shanghai History Museum) Be prepared to not know exactly what it is that you're eating and to pick from picture menus. Even though it is tempting, resist the urge to go to McDonalds, most of my group got sick at one time or another and I think we can trace at least some of it back to McD's.

Craps dealers (or croupiers, learned something new today ) don't really have to keep track of a whole lot since there are 2 of them, not including the stick and the pit boss that counts the money. All they have is their own side of the table to contend with. I'm willing to give some concessions to slow card dealing as that's not something that's learned overnight. Dealers practice that shit for years, and they've had maybe a month. But the blatant and repeated math errors and pulling the bets when they should be paid out, that's something I can't get over. I'm planning on giving them a few weeks then going back (because I'm a lush and like craps), preferably during non-peak hours if nothing else than to see if the table minimums were lowered. Although I understand why they did it, $25 is a little spicy.
-
I would think they just wanted people to have a good experience and not deal with completely incompetent dealers. That doesn't involve any changing of the payouts at all.
-
Interesting. All my croupiers were older guys, easy mid to late 40's. Some women as well, about the same age. All of them couldn't do the math necessary to effectively do their jobs to save their lives. You got dirty looks from the DEALER when you doubled down on 11? Jesus.
-
My only regret is I didn't raise hell to the pit bosses when I was there.

I figured as much, and I still don't give a shit. They've had however long to get a grip on this stuff, and even with all that time they still managed to break almost every single rule out there with regard to handling a bettor's chips. It's not like they've only been on the job for a week, they've had weeks of training to ramp up to this. I'm sorry, but you don't fuck with my money while I'm playing.

Just got back from Hollywood Casino a little bit ago. I have no idea what these craps dealers (can't speak for anything else, didn't/couldn't sit down anywhere else) have been doing for the last however many weeks their training was, but 80% of the croupiers there were missing bets, putting bets on wrong numbers, not paying out bets, paying them out to the wrong people, or most egregious of all, pulling bets when they should be paid out. In the span of 2.5 hours, I literally had all these things happen to me, as well as croupiers and pit bosses taking 5 minutes to figure out how much to pay out a single bet, a croupier shuffling a active bet stack of chips around a number, holding up the entire table until she could figure out where to put it Any other craps players out there, I'd hold off at least a month or so before you give it a go. It's seriously amateur hour out there.

Where you work I'm surprised you don't know the answer to this question. I'm willing to bet a significant part of your salary (and my contract, for that matter) came from 17 year olds trying to insure blatant death-traps like a Hayabusa.
-
You do, or at least you did a couple hours ago. That's not leaving a lot of wiggle room, which underscores your lack of experience.
-
I'm just saying that some of their elements are more extreme than others, so much to the point that they've found themselves on the SPLC's radar as a group of interest. You don't get to that point by being rational, you get to that point by threatening violence against a group of people.
-
Ah yes, the impotent rage. Starts out sane, goes down derpy. If you're concerned about the government "going door to door taking weapons", why don't YOU move YOUR happy ass to Somalia? You can carve out a nice niche all to yourself, with all the guns and whatever you want. Government's a thousand miles away there.

You're portending actions of the military to execute hypothetical orders that have never existed in the last 42 years (Kent State shootings, and even that is controversial whether there was shoot order or not) without the full and complete background that comes with serving and actually going through those motions to determine whether or not modern soldiers would fire on US citizens in present-day. Just because I read a book and hung around Michael Jordan, doesn't mean I know what it's like to sink the game-winning buzzer against the Cavs in 1989.

I don't understand, how did we get to a 10-year civil war? Also, nice link to the Oath Keepers. When you've made it to the Southern Poverty Law Center's radar, you done fucked up somewhere. Magz, I'm sorry, but just because you know people who served doesn't mean you can automatically put yourself in the head of those that have. That's arrogant presumption at best. That being said, I'm not concerned about bonafide military servicemen (in one of the 5 branches) processing orders to open fire with live rounds on American citizens. Posse Comitatus does a good enough job to protect the populous against the lion's share of soldiers. What I am concerned about is the almost giddy-ness of police to get in riot gear and crack a few skulls, as evidenced in the recent OWS ('member them?) protests, especially in NYC. All it takes is one cop to start firing, then all the others "come to his aid" and start opening fire as well. I can list more instances than OWS, there's the homeless guy in Seattle that was gunned down with his back to the SPD cop, the BART cop shooting in San Fran, the Ottawa Hills cop who shot a unarmed motorcyclist in the back, I can go on and on. Militarized police (or police using militarized thinking of "civvies" vs. officers) are already killing citizens, and in some instances are getting away with it. Where is your oath-keeping for those American citizens?

This is laughably inaccurate, and shows a massive lack of historical understanding. The reason a foreign country hasn't put boots on American soil in a full/half/any-scale invasion is simple: No one wants to poke the largest military in the world in such a way that the other allies of that military will all rally to our aid. It's not because you have a gun under your pillow (although an exception can be made for bowdog), it's because people who actually have a grasp on history understand that an American response reminiscent of WWII could happen again, and, in fact, almost did following 9/11 (Article 5 of the NATO treaty was invoked, look it up). But hey, if keeping a pistol or a claymore under your pillow at night makes you sleep a little better, then more power to you. But please, if you're going to project your feelings of superiority just because you're packing heat (or blade, as it were), make sure they have a little factual accuracy.

What does history have to do with a guy unable to identify who or what is at the end of his muzzle and opening fire? You don't need to be an history major to understand that's the wrong way to do things.
