I gotta back Jags up on this one. You honestly shouldn't toss out accusations like that without objective documentation.

If you're here, come to the main bar.

Here now, at the bar. Dont recognize anyone familiar.

Both my gaming PC and my HTPC downstairs have SSD's for OS drives, believe me, I'm not missing out. I would really use the NAS as a centralized media station. Currently I have the HTPC on S3 sleep when I'm not using it, so I can't rely on it to be the media hub and due to power consumption don't want it to be the media hub. I've got all these devices that can possibly do DLNA between my phone, PC, tablet, etc., but nothing to serve on-demand to those devices. If I can punch a few holes in the firewall for this thing to serve out to the Internet, that's even better. I just wanted to see if someone had some hands-on with it, as that seems to be a pretty tall order for a consumer level device.

I think there are enough layers here that I'm sufficiently insulated from his stupidity. On an unrelated note, anyone use Synology NAS devices, specifically the DS212j with DSM 4.0? I'm hearing everything from these are the FSM's gift to home storage solutions to they cured Aunt Edna's cancer, but I don't really want to base this solely on Newegg and Amazon reviews since I'll be plowing some cash into it and the HD's. I'm really curious how the cloud streaming works to the Android/iPhone devices, that seems like something I could really get some mileage out of.

Yawn. China won't give up the dollar because they've been fucking with the yuan too much, and their house of cards would fall down. No one's going to the Euro while there's still massive uncertainty in their financial sector and austerity/bailouts are still taking place. So who does that leave? Russia and the ruble? The oft-touted "basket of currencies"? Nope, love it or hate it, the Dollar is still the stablest of the currency solutions currently. Sure people will start saber-rattling when the exchange rates aren't going their way, but that's all that is.

It goes well with the tassles.

I'll smack you around with my ped if you ain't careful...

Sounds like the hoops for registration for something like that are just as bad as DC's after Heller, and even then you can't even take it to a range to shoot the thing unless there's a gunsmith there. That's pretty shitty.

Weekend's back in play for me.

Your name pleases me, unless I was dead the entire time.

Of course you want to make this the same weekend I'll be NYC.

Bingo. Scruit's correct to a point, but at the end of the day you have to be physically (easy to prove) or SEVERLY mentally damaged (not easy to prove) to reach the point where remuneration is in order. Unless.... ...it was all bullshit to begin with and an effort by some hack to fill column space. However, now that the conversation is out... You can just ask the Duke Lacrosse boys ('member them?) how far they got suing Nancy Grace and CNN. Spoiler alert: Nada. Their civil case is still ongoing against the city of Durham and Duke University, however. As for their accuser, Crystal Mangum? In jail, on trial for the murder of her boyfriend in 2011. Here's one more, this one with even closer parallels. Remember Tawana Brawley? Here's a refresher. One of the accused "perps" in this case, Steven Pagones, sued Sharpton and the other major talking heads for defamation. He ended up getting $395,000 (he asked for 395M) almost 10 YEARS after the original incident. Sharpton paid his end just like he paid all the others, through his "foundation". In short, this guy's going to get bupkiss if anything at all, and if he is lucky enough to get anything it's going to take decades to sort out and collect. Tack that fact onto the fact that he would be suing huge media magnates that have basically infinite legal resources, and he's better off going outside to yell at a cloud.

Hey man, if you want to rock a sparkly cruiser then be my guest.

My real name is Carlos Spicyweiner. Or it could be Jefe, since I am the Jefe to Bad's El Guapo...

Make a half-day out of it and hit up Iron Pony. You won't find a more expansive selection of suits/moto stuff in general under one roof anywhere else in the region.

For as much as my plastics on my '03 were trashed, it really wasn't the hardest thing in the world to strip the fairings off of it. If you picked up some ez fasteners like the dzus and put them in strategic locations, it would be even easier. Check out 600rr.net, the sponsors there always run specials on Chinese fairings, you can get a decent deal and not have to worry about sliding your streets.

Ever thought about just giving up and saying f**K it?

Management positions I understand, however in this case we're not talking about a management position, we're talking about a sales grunt. Cart before the horse, my friend. -

As a former car salesmen myself, I can tell you that the biz is VERY sink-or-swim, with some VERY shady managers. He's looking for a manageable amount of risk, this is about as high risk as you can get. 60k+? I'd venture to say about 20% pull that. -

That's the mindfuck, the position SAYS they want a degree, however once you start networking and getting past the HR blowhards (apologies to any HR blowhards on here) who don't have the qualification to see what knowledge you REALLY possess, and start talking to the hiring manager or the department manager directly, degrees take a back seat to how much you know and how much you're willing to learn. It's the old military scenario, this guy may be a LT with no battlefield experience but a bar on his shoulder, or this other guy may be a Cpl with an entire successful tour under his belt with commendations. If you had the choice, who would you take with you into combat? Network man, find some trade groups and network. Teach yourself C++ and go for a IT programming position if you'd like, it'll be a change of pace from your current gig. I can tell you that networking in IT is very easy once you start talking to people and figuring out where everyone's connected. You can get some contract gigs to start from recruiters, usually they'll be 6 months or so but you'll have stuff on your resume, and it all snowballs from there. I'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction and give you some contact info from people that I've worked with to find my gigs if the IT path is something you're interested in. If I can do it as a know-nothing college dropout (barely a year of earned credit hours) now sitting in Nationwide (where you can't even talk to HR without a degree), you can do this. There are literally TENS of THOUSANDS of people like me, you can pull yourself up and own this. -
10/10. Starts off with a incoherent rant sprinkled with random obscenities, with notes of bootstrappy bootstraps, massive self-entitlement, Republican deity-worship, and finishes smooth with the socialist cockslap. Well done, truly epic troll. My tri-corner hat's off to you.

If you need some help, lemme know. I still have some waterproof automotive connectors if you want to try the wiring thing.
