  1. I find that the faster I go the less the lenses fog, so I grab more throttle.
  2. I've managed to browbeat Progressive into a little discount on renewal. I get new quotes every 6 months/year just to keep my current insurance vendor honest.
  3. Although that's good, I prefer to answer the question "did you ride in today?" when I have my helmet and jacket on my desk with "no, it's international dress like a astronaut day. I'll make sure you get a copy of that memo." I did have someone ask me after I was coming out of Chipotle with a larger than usual order where I was going to put all the bags, since my RR had no saddlebags and I wasn't wearing a backpack. They were seriously trying to figure it out, like this was some X-Files mystery shit. I saw their brains literally explode when I unzipped the fastpack and put everything inside.
  4. ross, she who must not be named, and I were sitting at a Speedway gassing up before a Coshocton run one summer morning. Some big gangster wannabe guy (I'm talking 350-400 easy) waddles over to us and asked if the bikes were Busa's, then after we said no, asked "if we got into 'dem boosa's". Once we got back to IP, I damn near fell off laughing so much.
  5. you know you want to pull a Maverick... "hard deck my ass, we nailed that son of a bitch!"
  6. That's where Paris has one of her coke stashes, she had it built into the hotel.
  7. Wish I could help, never got that far down in the RR when I had mine.
  8. I'm the same way. I just ordered a set of tires through chat because I couldn't pick up the phone.
  9. I'll bite, how much you looking to get for it?
  10. I've heard that you need to keep some loctite handy to re-attach bolts that rattle off...
  11. Anyone have any experience? I know they are Chinese, which based on my non-owner experiences really doesn't scare me all that much, but I thought there might be someone out there who's lived with one for a while. They seem to be all over CL for cheep, I just wanted one to commute to work (off-highway) and otherwise derp around on.
  12. I'll email this Allstate guy for a quote, but add me to the list of disgruntled State Farm people. I had SF for about 5 years, in that time the only claims I had were when I rear-ended a girl in 2005 (5k damage to both cars combined) and when I lowsided in Newark and ended up totaling the bike ($3400). Three tickets in that entire 5 year span as well. Got a call from SF in December 2009 saying they were dropping me from both auto and moto, claiming that I had 3 claims (out of stupidity/panic, I called the claims number on my card when I dropped the Katana in 2006. When she explained that the repairs would be about the same as the deductible. I opted to do it myself and not proceed with the claim. No money paid by SF.) The real kicker, SF would keep me as a client, but my rates would increase 3x. I asked them if they saw a DUI that I wasn't aware of that would necessitate that rate increase, and they laughed at me. Pulled everything including homeowners the second I got back from overseas.
  13. yeah, I was going through firewall logs and I wanted to ask you about that. I'd go to a doctor if I was you, you've got to have either carpal tunnel or repetitive motion injuries in your wrist by now. Also, sheep aren't meant to be used like that, and seriously, lay off the cat pictures.
  14. I haven't seen the Samsung Smart TV's in the flesh yet, but I'm definitely intrigued. As for the privacy concerns, a simple sniffer and firewall rules can take care of that. TV sending data you don't like outside the house? Access-list it away, easy peasy.
  15. Ah, coming from Breitbart I expect a fair and reasoned discussion on this matter.
  16. True, but if taken care of the stitching and craftsmanship on those wallets will last for decades. Unlike Coach and some other "luxury" brands, LV actually engineers their shit well.
  17. The buzz is a lot better when you roll your own, brah... If you can play with Lego's, you can build a computer.
  18. I think you just found your problem.
  19. Invest in this: http://www.amazon.com/Passion-Natural-Water-Based-Lubricant-Gallon/dp/B005MR3IVO Use frequently.
  20. Carrying around that 6-slot wallet I linked above really opened my eyes as to what I actually needed and didn't need to schlep around with me everywhere. I don't know what your vehicle situation is like, but could it be possible that those truck stop rewards and fuel cards only need to be in the car and not necessarily on your person? Also, what Tyler said about the bifold. Much slimmer, and spread out over a larger distance won't make your pockets bulge out that much. Of course, if you stuff it full of crap all bets are off.
  21. That's bordering on a man-purse. How do you carry that, Indiana Jones style? I rocked one of these for about 6 years before I relented and went back to a leather bi-fold, carried in front pocket. The only reason I gave it up is because I beat the hell out of it and it got a little bent up, but still very functional. Even with a little cash in the clip, it was still one of the slimmest wallets I've had. When I say I beat the hell out of it, I mean this thing took the brunt of my lowside in Newark when I landed on it as I was sliding. Definitely saved my thigh from some rash, the only thing that happened to the wallet was the money clip popped off (which takes SIGNIFICANT amounts of force to do). Popped it back on, no problems.
